  7. quote: At my shop,we do everything assbackwards. I read a lengthy discussion early about this. My hardinge was set-up to run this way (m04). This is how they trained me at the factory. All my tooling is left handed. I'm still have a problem with MC changing automatically to a right handed tool. What a pain.
  8. I read a previous topic about this subject but it didn't quite answer my question. How do I get MC to output a M04 and use a left handed tool? When ever I try to change spindle direction to CW it automatically changes my tool to right handed. Is this a post issue? Using post MPLHT42R.
  9. I hope I can word this in a way that its understood... How come when I open a Mc9 file that has been downloaded from FTP site(or web sites) it always opens in MC lathe. Here's an example, I downloaded the WCS tutorial with the examples. I Unzip it, click on the samples and MC lathe opens. Why are file coming in as lathes when I know they are mill?

  17. My knowledge and experience of surface cutting is very limited. With the purchase of a new machine thats is better at cutting surfaces,I want to push myself to learn more. So I'm turning to my friends on this forum for help. On the FTP you'll find a file "oppizsurf" in the Mc9 folder. All I want is to get pointed in the right direction on machine the cavity using surface. One problem, I only have mill level 2 which only allows me to machine 1 surface at a time.
  18. quote: Sorry Bob, I know zippo about Wire posts Be careful, we took Disney to court over using our name!!!
  19. quote: do you do work on any of the case line Case knifes are owned by the same people as Zippo but are ran as separated companies. If needed we help each other out but seldomly. Our guarantee is great its been the number selling point for our products. I have an idea seeing that we use MC, maybe the MC people can get some Zippos made with their logo on them with "another quality product made using Mastercam" engrave on them.
