  4. Just checked and it seems to work as it should for me (of course) - have you tried setting the roughing angle to 180 in order to force it?
  5. Have you tried Dynamic Xform.. do you get the same bad results? I never use any of the regular Xform commands now. Dynamic xform all the way
  6. I have a part with 30,000 holes that are all splines Verisurf add-ons to the rescue.
  7. yeah that's what concerns me, because of any unseen changes between the two versions, there may be posting errors that could be easily overlooked. You should have some mail let me know if it works out
  8. hey Erik - yes this is the X4 MU1 Version you'll need to uninstall this, and either A: install Campro version X4 B: Upgrade to Mastercam X4 MU1 and then reinstall Campro for X4 MU1
  9. Yeah that's why I want to see the version number - just to make sure it was the right install, as eric already "We just installed CamPro (RobotMaster) for X4 and we are getting the following errors"
  10. Seems to be - Erik could you Go into "Robot Config" under toolpath parameters, click Help > About and post a screenshot of that - or just the version and build# ? This looks like a couple different problems - may be access rights related but it's the first time I've seen anything like that
  11. quote: Yea those conferences are always good. Good people, good food, good information, good training. It's a privilege to work with the people at CNC. Mike Mattera I was there as well Mike - did I run into you at all?
  12. what's the file-type? what version of mastercam - what's the error?
  13. I had the same problem when I accidentally changed my system time - I ran the .hcode files for the hasp again and it was fine. Rick did you call in to support yet? They hadn't heard from you yet, but I can send a message their way to give you a shout

  16. shows how much of a life I have... I thought you meant pics of his robot. Robots are more fun and frustrating than most things. even dating! COlin, you could post pictures and they could be rated by how many guys e-mail saying emastercam is is now banned at their work
  17. That definitely works - good suggestion! Unfortunately for my 30,000 holes it's quite difficult to go that route.
  18. I'm not sure how untrimming the surface will create the hole centre points.. Worked fine to calculate the vectors - needed to do that anyway
  19. I will admit that I am heavily bias towards anyone who makes guitars, and will offer them help on ANYTHING
  20. Hey Rodger - what's up? Robots, carnage, t0olpathing, ... trying to catch up on sleep from last week. oof. How you doing? tried fbm drill to do this at first - it's great for things like this but I think there was just too much. As for the part, They're unfortunately thru holes, on a curved 1" thick sheet. How many holes? 30,000... but thanks for the suggestions guys
  21. If someone knows an easier way to do this, feel free to make me feel stupid; once I downloaded the Verisurf Add-ons for Mastercam, it was smooth sailing. The part I have has thousands of holes to be 5ax drilled on a curved solid face. Came in from UG and doesn't have any center points for the holes in the solid - all the geometry on them is splines. Creating curves on the face makes splines around the holes because the surface is curved. I tried everything: -Simplify / Break Many -Project to plane / Save contour op with create arcs etc. Nothing seemed to work. installed the Verisurf add-ons (had used HoleAxis before) -Used Verisurf Surface Points > Curve to Points and Vectors set the edge to half the hole diameter and perfect vectors/center points were createded almost instantly for many thousands of holes. Thanks Verisurf - saved me a lot of time today!
