  1. I've been working on my updated post for the last 2 days off and on for X5 and have one last problem. Even though I have prestage tool selected in the swithches I get nothing. I am running mpmaster X4. Anyone have an Idea? TIA.
  2. Thanks Rob that did the trick.
  3. been trying to get an answer for 2 years with no luck
  4. I had my own mpmaster from x3 then they gave me one from x4 with the changes mine had in it plus these g94's
  5. Just had my post worked on to reduce the amount of characters that can be posted in the header per line (Haas only allows 80 characters)and now have G94s showing in every op. Where is this located in the mpmaster post? TIA.
  6. Blackonyx is right on point. I would also add that you should use a good tenths indicator when you tram in the head. Most manufacturers recommend .001 over 12 inches. Also relevel after a couple weeks to see if there was any settlement.
  7. I've had the same problem but it is mostly with newly created tools that aren't in a library. If you use tools that are in an existing library that and you just modify them they seem to work fine.
  8. I did the same thing. I just manually deleted the file x+ file in chooks and reinstalled and it worked
  9. I am currently trying to make edits to the MILL-OPERATION.rpx file as GREG_J had recomended in a previous post. The problem is that when the image appears on the op set up sheet the background color is white thus washing out the yellow rapid paths. I would like to have the background black but when I change this it doesn't seem to work right. It acts like it does when you print the image on the mastercam screen and by default prints the background white. Any way to fix this? Any help would be appreciated.
  10. Drive surfaces only with boundary?
  11. I have minimum vertical retract selected. output feed move @500 and 1667% of tool dia.
  12. In the linking parameters do you have output feed moves selected and the maximum feedrate for the machine filled in. This will make the machine move as if you see it in verify and not move to the next position in a 45 deg. and then linear movement to get to next position.
  13. parameter#315 will do this but Haas doesn't recomend doing it.
  14. Early power detection can be installed by Haas after the machine is on your floor. It doesn't eliminate all drop but it only drops about .01. We installed it on our machines that are 2003 or newer. We also top off our nitrogen on the older machines every year.
  15. Use toolpath transform that should get you what you need.
  16. This may soound stupid but I have the same problem and all I do is put the hasp in another usb port on the same pc and it works. This is the same for several PC's that I use.
  17. Leigh is right. Although Hass has had some issues with crashes when you do that. That is why they recommend that you not change until they have a fix. We tested the cycle time of both and the times were identical.
  18. There was a bug @ one time that made linearized lines @ the bottom of a ramped contour. Meaning it would post out arcs until it reached the final z depth then it would turn into lines on its final pass. If you are doing a ramped contour also make sure linearize helix is unchecked
  19. Gunther these are great sheets. Is there any way to add toolpath group to the drop downs in the name column in the tool list?
  20. I am running a Haas SL-30 with old style G76 threading canned cycles The problem is that the K,A and D values are posting without decimals. How do I fix this in the post? I am using X4 mplmaster post. Thanks in advance.
  21. What is the best surface finish procedure to use to go down a wall. The part I'm machining has contours above and below this surface for instance a square pocket may have a radius around the top and also at the bottom of the pocket. How do I get the tool path to run down the side. I get tool paths to do the top and then it goes right to the bottom but it skips the sides. In the past I have selected all geometry ( the whole solid) and put a boundary box around the area and that would work but in this case it isn't an option. Please help.
  22. I already fixed that in hst but my prob. is in plain old 2d toolpaths.
  23. Every now and then when milling 2 different Z depths I will get a rapid movement that maves all 3 axis' at the same time to get to the next position. It seems to be related to retract heighth. I kind of remember something like this in X and I changed something in the post.I now am using X4 and it"s back. Any ideas/
