  1. Would try but our IT won't allow a change over security concerns.
  2. Just wondering if anyone has a solution to eliminated what appears to be a seperator page (blank page)being printed every time I try to print an X+ setup sheet. It only happens when it is printed from an HTML page. I am stumped.
  3. Go to system configuration, files, data paths and then scroll down to backup it should show you where the backup was created.
  4. Thanks for the info guys. I will give it a shot.
  5. single tooth or multiple tooth? helical flute?
  6. We just got a job in that requires 1/4-20 tapped holes in a material called Tricon Dura Braze. This stuff is tough and rockwells @ about 42. We are burning up No.7 drills @ about 400 rpm. Haven't even tried tapping yet as I think we may try a thread mill. Any recomendations? Oh by the way we don't have through the spindle coolant. TIA!
  7. I use tool clearance also with no problems. There is a problem with rapid clearance moves with custom tools. I always use Ref points on custom tools. If I use tools from any of the library's it clears a part just fine. I have had rapids go right to the tool change position from the bottom of a bore without clearing Z in custom tools.
  8. That is after you have converted it to a mcx file. I usually have a level just for stock.
  9. you shoul be able to save that iges solid on its own level then on the same setup page select solid. Then selct your solid model.
  10. 1. Make solid model of stock part. 2. Save part as .stl file in DATA folder. 3. under the stock setup page select stock type file and locate your stl file you saved. This should be what your looking for.
  11. Iran into this problem also. Even though a default window comes up and says it is saving your setting to default it doesn't. I was told by cnc that you have to click on the "save default settings" button directly under the Operation defaults. You then will also get the saving changes to default window come up after you select the green arrow and try to close the window. They stuck for me after this.
  12. That was the problem I was having also. I thought it was a color thing. I found after soom experimentationthat itt actually only recognizes sizes that are in the 1/32 incremaent ranges (Radius) in the smaller #'s then it goes by 1/16th increment on the larger #'s starting around .25r. It may have to do with the way it filters to the next size. Just a guess.
  13. Roger I have been wondering the same thing and used your vb script, added hole sizes with differnt colors. I then drew all the sizes I added, ran the vbscript and only three sizes changed colors. The color library is the same as the color pallette # aren't they?
  14. I am using high speed optirough in x5mr1 core style. My material overhang where the finish cut is about .375 and I am using a .5 end mill and want the stepover about .085. It seems to not be recognizing the stock material as my first pass is over .25 deep on the stepover. I am programming using a solid model. Any Ideas out there?
  15. mine crashes 100% of the time when using the source as geometry instead of nci and I also had match existing offsets selected with it
  16. I recently did a part that was @ a 20 deg angle and I had to use toolpath trim funtion to get the resultsI wanted.
  17. Where is the FTP site located? I haven't been able to find it since the new site came online.
  18. guess what? Didn't change anything.
  19. don't remember seeing it in the cd. Where is it located?
