yeah it appears to be down, noticed Jay's signature pictures are gone, that is a good sign that something is wrong
JParis had a temporary FTP to use, might try that.
edit John took down his FTP link sorry bout that
Ask your reseller for a Version X cd. Install X and you can convert entire directories of V7 files to the X format. Then you could convert those X files to X3.

One new machine is being considered without adding new employees. The part count is low but it is a weekly delivery. Horizontal with a pallet system all the way. Modular Fixturing in addition to dedicated tool magazine with probing as an added option will give you a true flexible manufacturing system (FMS) that also gives you unmanned lights out machining capabilities. The unmanned ability alone will give the weekly production numbers and a cost effective payback. After awhile you will say why didn't we do this years ago ?

Dan,
With level 3 you can do just about anything.
You will need to create surfaces or solids for the following toolpathing options. If you don't have solids option no problem just create surfaces of the features you want to cut. Next is learning how to use the Surface toolpaths and the controls to manipulate the toolpath output. Remember the blue checkmark on the toolbar can be clicked at any time, clicking it with different menus open automatically opens the help menu for that function. This is the fastest self help. Toolpath,Surface, rough or finish, and then contour, parallel, pocket etc. is where you want to start. Pick a toolpath type and then when the operation opens for you to pick tool and all other parameters click on the drive tab and then the check tab and then tool containment tab to define the geomentry you want to cut and the geometry you don't want to cut. This is where the help menu comes in handy explaining what each of these are for. Good Luck and Welcome to the Forum.

Toolpath,Transform
Type:Translate
Method:Toolplane
Subprogram Check Box
Work Offset Numbering:
Assign New:Start 0,Increment 1
Pick the operations you want to transform.
Experiment with the different options and post and check the results. It takes a bit of time to get this all setup and working in my experience. I also setup my copies of workoffsets I'm going to use before running transform. Posted code will vary with different post processors.
You can also do a search for more ideas and methods. The above method is what I use. Good Luck
Reselect the Machine Definiton with that file open and see if it gives you that error. Also try reselecting your coolant setting in each operation and save the file. Close MC and reopen, that should clear that error popping up.
OK I understand now. I misunderstood when you wrote that you had an earlier version. I thought you meant an earlier version of MPMaster.
For the Haas Post you have there is 2 choices of coolant use. V9 or X style. If you haven't checked, look in the Machine Definition under General Machine Parameters/Coolant and uncheck the first checkbox. That would give you X style coolant control in your operations and would give basically the same result, an M09 at the end of your operation.

What I have is a lot of old programs that were programmed by other people using ver9 and X If you still have V9 installed you could run the chook stl2surf to get a model.

(i have the version right before it) coolant off with last Z move has been around since V9 you should already have it in your version of the post,
what post and version do you have ?
Having never used Pro Drill, my only thought is to copy the resulting operation, change the depth, and define a new tool. Post and go. Just a workaround idea is all. Other way would be to modify the model in SW and bring it back in.
Paul,
That story reminds me of a time that a fellow programmer came running over to a big mazak horizontal that was roughing at 12000 rpm and 800 ipm with a 2" iscar insert cutter and pulled the door open, not only did he get soaked but he also got machine gunned with a stream of bullet chips starting on his forehead and going diagonally across his body and arm. Needless to say he didn't do that again.
I will recommend also that you make copies of your original MPMaster MD/CD/Post and rename them to something like MPMasterHaas and MPMasterSupermax. It makes it easier in the long run. Good Luck and make only one change at a time. Always make backup copies before changing anything as well.
Suggest you feel free to follow what's going on in the world instead of ignorantly posting without knowledge of which you are speaking. Apple is now recommending users to run an Anti-virus program. From PCmag.com not Google as well as being in the Washington Post.
