  1. Look into P.H.Horn. they have some really good tooling!
  2. I use GARR Mold Cutters. 1/32" ball mill at 15000 rpm, .002-.003" DOC and at about 10"-15" IPM, Or a 1/16" ball mill at 14000 rpm. .005" DOC and at 15"-20" IPM. Those work really well and last quite some time.
  3. We use the Nylox wheels on our Doosan DBC130 to deburr o-ring grooves and all the edges on a Catepillar pump housing. We use a 3" and 6"Brush... they work great!!

These are the setting i have setup for the drafting entities.(these are the setting in my x4mu3 config, but they are the same as in x5mu1.)

    X5 levels

Here is the thing though. When i go to those levels where it says that there is enities, there is nothing visible at all, no wireframe or surfaces.

    X5 levels

    Thanks gms1 I'll give it a shot.
  9. When i open a new file in X5, I always put the wireframe on level 1 and surfaces on level 2. The problem is when i do this it always shows that it has geometry on other levels, when in fact there is none. I've tried purging the levels and everything else i can think of. We work with parasolids only and never had this problem with any previous MX versions. BTW X5 MU1 is waht ver im using right now. Anyone have any ideas?
  10. I am having the same problem in X5 and X4 MU3. Running Vista Business and have a FX 9500GT card. Desktop comp is checked also. The only way that i can get the curser back is t restart mastercam.
  11. Look into PH Horn... http://www.hornusa.com/
  12. Look into Garr, OSG and Mitsubishi...cwe use alot of OSG ranging from 1mm-8mm. we also use mits 3-flute emills also.
  13. Try Whitney Tool... we special order tools off of em quite abit. http://www.whitney-tool.com
  14. Thx Hardmill and Cuda... i was confused on all of that. I have never done any solid stuff. So why is it that X5 is the only X version that messes with the color atributes when bringing in a parasolid as surfaces and wireframe?
  15. That worked. So how do you convert the solids into surfaces? We don't have solid options.
  16. I know we dont need solids to bring in a parasolid. i just need the surface colors to remain the same. the color of the surfaces are coming in as the color of the system color. thx hardmill for all your help. i have never had this much aggravation with the color attributes as i have had with X5.
  17. We don't have solids. we bring everything in as surfaces and wireframe.
  18. Everytime i open a parasolid in X5 the Surface color attributes change to a single color. i need the models as they were ceated. we do alot of engineering changes and the changes are shaded different colors than the unchanged areas. How do you keep the surface color attributes from changing when importing model? TIA
  19. im having the same problems but with bringing in surfaces and wireframe. USing X5 also. its getting quite frustrating when the engineering changes are one color and the originals are a different. when you bring the parasolid in it changes them to one color
