Thanks JParis that looks good - The only problem is when I verify it clips the part on the back . i have the unroll checked .... so I'm thinking it should be ok .The tools moves up after the tool path and the A axis turns back and tool moves down . Hopefully it should be OK . Thanks for the help .

I have tried to get the tool to cut the rad in the corner .... and had no luck .

Thanks for the help hardmill . The tool doesn't look like it's coming over far enough . And when I converted the polylines to arcs and lines will the surface be a little rough .Thanks again for any help . Crappy model . Mastercam Programmer & DMG 5axis Machinist Wanted

We had a DMG mill Lathe . It was good for aluminum . But when using coolant drills on steel the head would move ( the head is belt drive ) . Also when switching from mill to lathe the postion would change . -

Hi Everyone - I would really appreciate some help ith this part that needs to be done asap . I'm using a Vertical machine and holding the part in the 4th axis . I have made the toolpath and I need to index the A axis . Would I be able to use a sub program to index . I haven't had much experience with sub programs . Any help would be appreciated .The part is in the X5 directory under part 44 . Thanks in advance .

There's only one level and there is nothing on it . The IGES files can be opened in version 9 ?

Hi Everyone - Had to switch jobs because the company I was working for ran out of money .I was using X5 but know I'm using X at the small shop I'm working at .Anyways when I try to open and IGES file all I get is a Blank screen .The other person I work with uses version 9 and has no problems . So he has to open and save the parts for me , witch isn't working to well . Any help would be really appreciated . Thanks in advance .

Hi everyone – I was asked about programming a xxxxor 8040 Lathe. I don’t have much experience running or programming a lathe. All of my 15 years of experience has been on cnc mills …..Programming And running. They just want to see if it would be more worth while using Mastercam Than the conversational. The big thing is Mastercam uses a model instead Of someone drawing the part. Any help on getting started would be greatly Appreciated.
