  1. Hi everyone - I need some help with the finish on this surface . Is there a better tool path I can use or do I need to modify my tolerance settings . I'm using a Hass machine and the memory is limited so I don't want to go over 1 meg . I don't have DNC and I really don't want to split the program .I haven't had problems in the past with finish . It's just the way surface curves that's causing the problem . Thanks far any help . I'm using X6 . PART1.MCX-6

  4. Hi Everyone . I have to cut a .06 oil grove .04 deep . I'm using a Hass and I'm running the spindle at 8000 rpm 2.0 IPM and the cut is .004 in D2 . So far I have broken a couple of end mills and this is taking way to much time .I only have 2 parts two do with 3 groves per part . The endmill is a Gar .The groves are about 4.o inches long .Any help would be appreciated . Thanks in advance . ps the tool is in a collet .

  7. Hi John - That was the first thing I did ....when I was hooking up the 4th axis .
  8. I changed the control setting to inverse feed on rotory axis and 4th axis .... put it didn't do anything . Inverse feed uses G93 and my code is G92 .The post may have to be changed .
  9. Hi Everyone - Could I please get some help with 4th axis engraving . The feed rate on the A axis is way to high . The machine I'm using is a Hass . I no that the feed rate on the A axis is in degrees rotated per second . I just don't know how to turn only the A axis feed down .Thanks for any help . EXAMPLE 4TH ENGRAVING.MCX-6

  12. Hi Everyone - Could I please get some help with this Waterline Toolpath . I would like to use one toolpath to contour this part .How can I add cuts so that I'm stepping down .006 on the Dark Green surface and .01 on the Blue surfaces . I use to use surface contour and used 2 toolpaths . Thanks for any help .I'm using X6 MU2 . WATERLINE 1.MCX-6

    Hi - I downloaded X6 Translator Update - Autodesk Inventor View 2013 x64 and installed .... so that I'm able to open and Inventor file . When I try to open the viewer I get a Runtime error ! R6031 . The error says " attempt to initialize the crt more than once . This indicates a bug in your application . Any ideas on how I can resolve this issue . ThanKs for any help .

  15. It shows that it's going to deep . Sorry I should have said I'm running X6 ... haven't installed MU1 yet . That may be the problem ?
  16. Hi Everyone - Could someone please help me with this toolpath . When I backplot or verify this toolpath it shows that it's going to deep . The tool is set to .375 deep and when I run the toolpath it cuts at the correct deep . Just looking for some help on what I'm doing wrong . Thanks for any help . 01.MCX-6

  21. Go into Machine Definition and change the direction of the A axis .
  22. Alan Brown from inhouse came in and installed X6 for us about 6 weeks . Everythings working good so far .

  24. Hi everyone .Could i Get some more help with this part .( Cam 44 ) The toolpath is inverted and the end mill is no coming over far enough . I put the part in the X6 folder on the ftp site . Thanks for any help .
