  1. So, John, where do you find that Snap To menu, to add to the RMB? Thanks
  2. Settings>Customize>Category:Screen has a "Toggle screen grid" button Put it on one of your menus, or as the Hint says, (left click on the button (to copy it)) and drag it to a Toolbar or the Screen Edit: ...and it doesn't work. It toggles the "Screen Grid Parameters" window. The button is just named to make you think it will "Toggle screen grid", but it "opens Screen Grid Parameters" ...and the "Toggle Learning Mode On and Off" button doesn't work ...the "Toggle 2D/3D Point selection" does work [ 11-29-2005, 04:00 AM: Message edited by: Jeff Kemper ]
  3. for Drivers-x.zip http://www.mastercam.com/ Support Downloads Misc
  4. On Solidworks home page is a Graphics Cards link to a big list o cards. Crossing that with yer list for Mastercam should narrow it down.
  5. We will have had one year of maintenance when it's time to renew. Just lookin for more reasons. Thanks for the replies.
  6. Any good ones for putting X maintenance into our 2006 budget? We have Solidworks2005, will get 2006. Thanks
  7. Dell outlet Dell Precision M70 Notebook: Pentium M Processor 780 (2.26GHz, 2MB L2 Cache, 533FSB)15.4WSXGA+ LCD Microsoft Windows XP Professional 2 GB DDR2 SDRAM 533MHz 80 GB EIDE Hard Drive (7200 RPM) NVIDIA Quadro FX Go1400 256MB OpenGL graphics 8x DVD +/- RW w/dbl layer write capability System Price $2,730.00 Promotion Discount ($200.00) Discounted Price $2,530.00 It is a powerful machine, faster than most desktops with double the CPU Ghz. Don't let the 2.26GHz fool ya. The 2MB L2 Cache helps it out. The display is 1920x1200 native, and the NVIDIA comes from Dell set to that. Very sharp, very high res. And I think it is wide aspect ratio, plays nices with Xs Ops Manager. Only drawback I see is no 17" display, but ya get somethin that is easier to carry around and probably has longer battery life.
  8. to clear Settings>System Configuration> (or Alt F8)Screen> lowerish right, uncheck "Show MRU in drop-down menus", apply (green check button), re-boot X. at minimum X should have a config setting "Clear MRU drop-down menus at Exit"
  9. System Configuration>CAD Settings>Number of items to show in MRU fields (lower right corner) Allows 1 to 10. The only way to clear it (not completely) is to set it to 1? When I reset it to 1 from 10 it reduced to 8. Had to close X and restart to take the 1 setting.
  10. bump What's the status of 2006? Compatibility with X? Thankx
  11. "...with online coupons..." Right. The process, for those who may not know: Find yer Dell coupons in email, techbargains.com, etc.; go to the Dell.com and find yer product, initiate the online buying process and a few pages in, there will be locations where you can cut/paste your coupon, If you have multiple ("stackable") coupons, repeat the process till done. dead pixels I believe some dead pixels are allowed, ya gotta read da fine print. Doesn't make 'em less annoying. Still for most quality LCDs, its a small number
  12. Don't forget the Dell Outlet, slightly used or not used and returned. Typically less than 3 weeks out of factory, then back in. They have the 24" WA on there occasionally for $800. $400 less than their list. (but I think the most recent group was $900) If yer thinkin' of buyin two monitors, it might be an option. Very sweet with the OpMan in X. ebay has a bunch, if ya wanna deal with that circus. Search " 24" lcd " http://www.dell.com/ Small Business middle of page under "Shopping Alternatives and Information", Dell Outlet middle of page, Select a model, Dell Monitors When they have 'em, they don't last long. So if ya want one for a deal, ya gotta check the page daily.
  13. ALWAYS try reboot. Then if IT asks if you did . . .

  16. +100 Paul You would do good to base your confidence in what people recommend here, on their number of posts. . . . and this time of year, remember Halloween
  17. Try running update again after you install SP1 Update 1
  18. There is another topic started today "Mastercam And 64 Bit"
  19. Blaine Welcome to the forum! I don't think CNC Software reads every post here, this site is run by In-House Solutions. If the problem can be reproduced, CNC requests a detailed email to [email protected] Jeff
  20. "Mastercam HSM Performance Pack" appears to be the full offical name of the product, probably commonly refered to as "HSM". If you bought the product, someone there should be able to verify this and also provide you with documentation. http://www.cimco-hsm.com/index.php?page=front
  21. I seen it before on some of my machines. It went away after changing some video settings. Hardware accel. maybe?
  22. billh That's correct MCamX Demo doesn't save. "The requested function can not be run from Mastercam Mill (Demo)"
  23. Next rev., 6.0, by the end of the year.
