I really dont use Mastercam anymore but I do remember that once you had things like you wanted you HAD to save them in The Machine Definition. I even password protected it so no one could change it.
If you know the info on the gear then the radial pitch of the gear is equal to the linear pitch of the rack. So I think if you created one tooth and created a straight pressure angle on it and translated it the linear pitch it would be correct. Of course I may be wrong.
Esprit has create /point distance. Give it a positive value and it places a point along that entity from the end point at that value. Give it a negative distance and it puts it outside the endpoint of the entity.
So I assume the Mits will move the Z axis simultaneously with the U and V? My Fanucs won't do that, but really there is no need for it. Are you using the 3 d tracking?
Guy here grabbed ahold of a 1 inch drill while turning with gloves and it broke his arm completely into. He came running to the front and let go of his arm and it just fell over at 90 degrees.
I am not aware of the type of work you have to do so gloves may be necessary . Personally I think gloves in a tool room atmosphere is a accident waiting to happen.
Been awhile since I have used mastercam but you can manually input part thickness in parameters as UV height and where the part sets on the table as XY height. It actually should recognize those planes though.
Pretty much how it is here as I control my own AC in the wireroom. Even in the winter I turn it on when all the wires are running. Everyone bitches how cold it is in here but I like it that way.
