  1. You can sweep a solid in 2018. In 2018 you can assign a guide chain.
  2. I guess you have saved your own configuration? Than you need a CSS file for it. A good start is to copy the default.css. The CSS file contains all the format statements for the HTML file. Borders, fonts, colors, etc. That way you can format the HTML output the way you need. Maybe a certain colomn as Barcode for example.
  3. One of my customers got the same error after an MS update. I told him to use the CIMCO editor.
  4. The automatic position will fail in machine sim, if your WCS is somehow rotated in 3D space. And it's almost not possible to do a manual position in this situation. This is a known bug (R-07803).
  5. Hi all, I thougt I will share this little chook. download It saves me a lot of time when I create machine definitions for machsim. It just exports all visible layers to STL files. The name of the STL file will be the name of the layer, or if the layer has no name the STL file will be named "layern". Whereas n is the layer number. Make sure that the layers get unique names. Existing STL files will be overwritten.
  6. Using a WCS with machsim: Have you ever tried to manually re-position your part on the machine table? The automatic position will fail with WCS. You may realise that the part will be somewhat in the air. If you need to find out a realistic position of the part on the machine table because of the machine limits... So, if the position of the part is not important to you...you're fine and you may live with the automatic "somewhat in the air" position. Other than that I would recommend not to use a WCS.
  7. I would recommend to not use the WCS if you are doing mutiaxis and also avoid using toolplanes in multiaxis. They are not (well) suported. And if you are about to simulate the multiaxis stuff on machsim (using WCS), you will run into the next problem. You can't setup your part on the machine. Autoposition will fail...manually will fail too (bug).
  8. Fixture Chook updated. Tool tips for the FixtureSetup dialog
  9. I've translated the new "X+ Fixture Chook" for Mastercam 2017. You can use the link from my first post for downloading. If you have previously installed the german version, make sure that you re-customize your QAT or ribbon bar in order to see the english text. This is necessary in MC2017!!!
  10. Yep, it's still there...and it switches the background to white for the screenshot.
  11. Press T in the OPMgr...it will display or hide the selected operations.
  12. Fixed it. If you find other problems, let me know.
  13. I need to look what's wrong. I guess it has something to do with the new SDK. For the meantime I'm using Mastercam's API to calculate the cycletime... but it's slower. On big parts it's much slower. Use link above to download X+.
  14. Do you see a difference from the backplot's cycle time? It should be the same.
  15. X+ updated to 2017 PC1. Use download links from top.
  16. Thx guys. @pip: No special format. The fixtures are normal Mastercam part files. I'm going to make another video. It will show you how to setup fixtures with the 2nd chook. How to setup a fixture?
  17. Ron, only some few "self made" solids as a reference are included in my chook. But all the solids that you have seen can be downloaded from the manufacturars web site. ("Allmatic" for example) Once you know how to setup the fixtures you can almost load/merge everything to your current Mastercam part. Easy! In this video I'll show you more types of fixtures. http://www.gmccs.de/videos/record_000002.avi
  18. Hi guys, X+ build with SDK for 2017 beta 4. http://www.gmccs.de/downloads/SetupX+_2017_en.zip Also, if you are interested, two chooks for fixtures. (they are not translated yet). One chook for loading fixtures to your part. One chook to setup fixtures. http://www.gmccs.de/downloads/SetupX+_Fixtures_2017_en.zip (video) http://www.gmccs.de/videos/record_000001.avi All chooks are available in the chooks/X+ folder ; or customize your ribbon bars and add the chooks. Edit: How to setup a fixture? (video)
  19. I would prefer left and right click on the full sized icons. I don't like the split too.
  20. Which fields do you want to edit? There are some tricks to do so ;-) But you can't realy save the "edited fields" in that generated HTML file. In this case I use a PDF printer and print the HTML file to a PDF file ;-) For example: If you need an editable field in your header. - run X+ tool list or setup sheet. - in that dialog you enter in one row of the description "Enter Something" - for the value you enter "<input value='your default text'>" - generate the list If you want to edit the tool table itself, you need a script.
