  2. damn i dont have one for the oi,, all the doosans we have are 16-21 or 31,, the oi prob has diffrent ladder ,, the m codes prob wont work, but if you want them anyway ill post them
  3. you should be able to contol it thru by pressing custom button, then pmc-sw soft key, after doin that there should be a screen that shows the steps in the the tc sequence,, if not i have a list ,, which control series? 16 18, or 31 and what year
  4. there are a crapload of settings for the data server i/o channel should be '5' ,, we have doosan fanuc 31i's,,, if you think the parameter for using m198 to call is the same ill look it up in the parameter book If you get the m198 to work,, this loop program should work. % O0001; m198pXXXX m60 (pallet m code) m99 %
  5. its called fustration buddy!!!,,, i agree some things could have been better put, you've never been mad and said things you regret later?? im sure you have some people are better at biting their tongue then others we are all human here i would never expect mastercam to make me coffee?? but i do expect it to change tool numbers when i tell it to, or keep a tool holder synced with the tool i select i would say thats par for the course when i pay ***** a yr for maintaince fees,, yes no??
  6. not saying you should, i have respect for non smokers, don't think you should be able to smoke at your machine, your getting paid to run a machine not smoke.. just stating that a few places that i or somebody i know worked at wouldn't let you smoke inside/outside or sometimes in your car, but then you walk in the shop and its like being in the circle from that 70's show
  7. yep i got the x6 64bit and i recently got a ssd the runs off the pci x slot ,, just the x6-64 was a notable improvement,, but the ssd,, def way way faster
  8. nope!!! i really love this one!! out of all the bugs this is my absolute favorite,,, i really hope they dont fix this one because its just a jolly good time clicking the xxxx out of my left mouse button to fix a tool that has 40 or so ops !!!!!
  9. over the summer in 2011 i had 3 machines get switched, welcome to my world buddy !!! its not just the d's you'll eventually get a h value,, do you use multiple tool planes for on the same tool, like for a hmc with a rotary b axis ??? its very fun!!!
  10. you have no idea how many times this has happened to me !
  11. the funny part of this is that,, these places that have uber restrictive smoking policies,, do any of them have a oil/mist/smoke collection system attached to any of their machines?? because im pretty sure that the stuff you breath in all day from machining metal is no better then smoking a cig?? because most of the people who dont smoke, if they even get a hint of cigarette smoke its the end of the world,, but then the same person standing running thier machine thats pouring smoke and mist out of it couldnt care less?? how bout it??
  12. i dont believe it is,, if it is thats pretty effed up!!! isnt the space inside your car considered your property??
  13. so its safe to say this guy is literally full of sh*t??? i couldnt resist!! yeah but we also cannot smoke in the buliding, we are outside in a designated area,, there are 2 breaks a day for everyone 10min each plus lunch time
  14. SO TRUE!!! I REALLY HOPE THIS TOOL DEBACLE GETS FIXED SOON!!! maybe they dont consider some of them important!!?? but i guess when its not your 300,000 mill with a 40,000 spindle that takes a minimum of 3working days to replace or that you charge 100$/hr for labor, working 3shifts per day,, work in a job shop,, etc etc ,,, and yeah i get it i should go thru my 60,000 line program to look for stuff that my software is supposed to do for me??? maybe if they consider that this software is not for play time,,, these little idiosyncrasies are not so little also why make software that allows you to attack a problem from 5 diffrent angles if only one of those angles gives you the correct result?? no im not a mc hater!! i recommended this software to the company i work for!!! but now im left feeling like a dip xxxx because of some of these issues!
  15. heres a issue ive had for some time now,, only sometimes when i create a linear dimension i pick both sides of the line then the dimension value is now "live", but the center of the dimension value is not on center with my mouse pointer, not even relatively close,,, so i end up zooming way out so i can position my mouse pointer out in space somewhere so the dimension value is where i want it to be,, anybody else get this ?? i just had it happen this morning,, the first time i tried it, it was off about 5in or so,, then i deleted the dimension , did it again then it was spot on
  16. give the first one a name , that fixed it for me
  17. neurosis, are you willing to email me the file,, i use this path all the time and i could probably help
  18. heres one that befuddles me!! why isnt there any cutter comp available in the 2d dynamic paths?? am i the only one who gets endmills reground?? it really sux changing toolpaths to compensate for a reground endmill,
  19. Scrapped a 160$ part (my fault i didnt verify the damn thing!!) ,, we ran out of 5/8 mills with a .06 corner, so i decided that a .03 corner would be just fine with a program change,, i edited the corner radius of the tool on the first op everything was great, verified and looking sweet no problems!! so i kinda got in a rush and just changed the corner radius on the second op as well but no verification,, SOMEHOW my tool #2 got deleted from the tool list and yet it still shows on the toolpath op!! so how did i scrap a part?? i changed the corner radius value from a .06 to a .03 on tool #2 from the toolpath tree (without opening the toolpath itself) ,, the op went dirty (as it should) i regened it,, posted the program and it still calculated the tool to a .06 corner radius thus making all my roughed chamfers on the part .03 too deep!!
  20. Keith A-1 that post is GOLD!!! i hope they fix this issue soon, if i had a swear jar on my desk today i would have filled it for sure
