  1. Thanks for converting the files for me.... I'm not so sure I can really use them .Not really clean geometry. I know it is the best you can do with what you got to work with. I might just havta bite the bullet and find the right fonts and draw it from scratch!! sux!
  2. that is all I got man...sorry
  3. Thanks,I uploaded it to cadcams FTP in the all_pictures_.jpg,gif,bmp folder file is called: jornic.jpg
  4. I was wondering if someone could do a raster to vector from a .jpg for me. I have a friend that wanted me to engrave his clutch cover with his logo. I basically would need geometry from the .jpg and then from there,I just run a 2D toolpath with a centerdrill with no comp on the tool. Thanks
  5. Guess I havn't been missing much...
  6. Hey age of 16.... This should make you laugh!! Last yr. I was headed to Avon, the town where my brother in laws parents live and somehow traveling down RT. 128 south,I ended up in Rhode Island!!!! What happened??? LOL

  14. I did get a great Xmas bonus as I do every year, and also the other employees. This is truly sad cause I saw a fax comfirmation today on a $63,000.00 order we placed just for a bunch of different inserts!!! Not drills, not sanpaper...just inserts alone!! I luv the Co. I work for.
  15. quote: So Benden, who would his dealer be, SFA? Send this guy their PH# so he can get some prices. He's 16!! He can prolly barely afford his condoms! Yes,S4A
  16. Avon Mass. is about 30 miles away from me..... I didn't pay anything for mine either!!! LOL Welcome to teh forum
  17. quote: ya know what I have noticed about these complaint threads? new members are speaking up for once. Of all people,I have to commend you Wes on this one.You have to respect the people who 'have' been using it for a long time. I cannot say that I have 'Put my seat time in' like I did on the earlier versions, but the few thing that didn't work in X just made me shy away from it! As I have stated in earlier threads,I don't have the time to spend....I gotta keep the shop running..and right now,I can do that flawless with 9.....
  18. I have used it a little.I do all my work in 9.1 because I dont have the time to figure stuff out. Then I get home with the 2 rugrats, and I have no time to myself for learning!!! For some of you,you may have all the time in the world to write programs at work, but for me,I gutta keep 30 machines going and 9 is the only way right now!! There are some very basic things in the backplot that they can't even get right(specifically in lathe)that just turns my stomach,so for now,I am sticking to V9. Sorry.....
  19. quote: I tried using the mpmaster post but it wont post out the b axis moves. What do I need to turn on. Well,is it at least posting out the A moves instead??? If so,you need to turn it on in the 'rotary axis settings' in the post. The mp master by default is set to 1 for A,you will need to turn it off and turn on for horizontal. example: # Rotary Axis Settings # -------------------------------------------------------------------------- # Typical Vertical srotary "A" #Rotary axis prefix vmc : 1 #0 = Horizontal Machine, 1 = Vertical Mill rot_on_x : 1 #Default Rotary Axis Orientation, See ques. 164. #0 = Off, 1 = About X, 2 = About Y, 3 = About Z # Typical Horizontal #srotary "B" #Rotary axis prefix #vmc : 0 #0 = Horizontal Machine, 1 = Vertical Mill #rot_on_x : 2 #Default Rotary Axis Orientation, See ques. 164. # #0 = Off, 1 = About X, 2 = About Y, 3 = About Z BTW,get mikes cd,you will learn a lot of good stuff. Not that you wont here!!
  20. For simple index drilling/milling,I just program my toolpath at B0 then use translate/rotate for my index moves.I use the mpmaster with the Baxis switch on. Works great for me.
  21. A 10T? We still have some machines around with 6T's on them and yes the fanuc post will work. It just might not look exactly like your operators want it to,but that is just a little tweaking.
  22. I dont know of any way to do this without having to translate/rotate your part in some way. There is another function create/next menu/pattern that you can try also.
  23. It is definately not pronounced fan-nook! It is pronounced fan-ick. I got the pleasure of hiring GE Fanuc to add a renishaw probe to one of our machines and that is how they pronounced it.
  24. At the bottom of the screen, click on planes tab. Then lathe diameter, then D+Z+
  25. Maybe something in the misc. intergers?
