IMO,one of the hardest things to do is to change cad/cam software. (in a sense, this is what it is like, even know it is still mastercam)
Your left side of your brain wants dto do 1 thing, but your right side says something else.
It is not easy period!
I personally too would be happy to just stay with V9,but I will put foward my best effort to stay the course with the new version.
If any of you think that there are too many icons/drop down menus/toolbars,try running something like Catia!
Version X is a whole new thing and you must put as much effort into learning how to use it just like you did when you first learned mastercam.

Hang in there....

Thanks steve,pete,doug,frank,theresa....
Like I stated in a thread 2 weeks ago, people bitching that they don't have it,will be bitching that they don't like it.
Of course,no 1 person in particular!
As far as 'bosses bitching',if you are smart, you will use a transition period to get a hold of X.
Meaning, you can't stop the floor from running parts,so if you have to do it in 9 just to keep the flow, then do what ya gotta do.
In the mean time,learn X!!!
Great advice Chris. Also if you do open up you stock parameters and find that the sizes are not what you had originally put it there,do not hit 'ok button' hit cancel or it will change the stock size on you.
When I first started using lathe,I didn't really like it,but once you get a good grasp on it,you will love it.
The places where you can get stumped is in your lead in/lead out,and your plunge parameters.
Once you get the hang of these, you will be able to make the tools dance!!
Welcome to the forum, you wont get bashed being humble.....
My company's name starts wit "A" (That's A) first letter in the alpahbet.
WTF is my copy?????
this is sad...I could prolly get a cracked copy faster!!
I mean,I only live (2) states away from Tolland...
WTF???
I can only describe it like this:
I am at a wedding,I am F/N starving...My table is #2,but they start calling tables 15-11 first!!!
Bucket teh 'impatiently waiting now'
WTF??????????????
When I first started programming,we were using TekSoft ProCam.
If you did not have the rainbow dongle plugged into parallel port, you could still use the software, you could post, but you could not save the posted code.
Now you could take a screenshot of it and maybe manually punch in the code, but for long programs.........

Just think about how many billions of dollars our government could make if they policed the private civillian's computer I don't think I would ever want our gobment anywheres near my computer! It's non of their business what I have on my personal computer.
Just think how much money they could save if they just did their job right.....
BTW,I did a quick search and the only thing I found was sites that claimed to have all kinds of cracks, only after you send them $$$!!
Soo long sucka
John,are you sure about this?
You can create/next menu/letters and give a toolpath, but create /drafting/note...and then give the 'note a toolpath??
This has to be new to me...
