I sent an email off to mc qc
here is what they said:
The "switch" is the button to the immediate left of the exclamation mark
in Backplot. If you hover the mouse, the tooltip should say "Quick
Verify" which is terminology used to differentiate that from the Verify
function (as opposed to backplot).
You need to have both the Quick Verify button down (on) and pause as you
step through - if you click (or hit s) until you get a retract, then
hesitate/pause for about a second, the stock will disappear. This is
still being worked on. The problem is that to remove the stock in Run
mode would really bog things down significantly.

Now I tried this and it did not work at all for me.
I paused 1 sec. 2sec. 10 sec, 5 minutes.....
Not sure about the bogging down thing,it worked very nicely in 9.
Whoever they outsourced creating the backplot for X should get there stuff together.....
I am hoping this is something that they can resolve cause if not,it will suck!!

Its gone and I want it back Yes,I really want that back!
I hope that they are really working on it.
WTH would they have even removed it?
Hop it wasn't something that they just forgot to include!!!!
In V9 when backplotting a part, you could set the verify 'on' so when you have your stock
set for shaded, you see the material being removed with each pass when stepping thru.
I cannot find anywhere to make this happen???
This was a real handy function in 9.
Perhaps Gcode may be able to shed some light on it?
Thanks

you could not stand in the shadow of guys like Mike Mattera I have heard and know for a fact that this dude does seminars in front of many mastercam re-sellers and users (which takes Balls) and shows them things that they have never seen before....

The primary reason for doing this is the customer still want there parts & could careless about learning curve. IMO,this is the smartest thing you could do.
I truly believe that some users thought that they would have no problem adapting to the new interface.
In order to prove sucessful in X,we have to all re-program our brains...

As far as having to reach up soooooo highhhh in the sky for you icons on top....
Did anyone forget that not only can you move them but you can also place them right in your graphics area!
Now you only have to move an inch.
try doing this in V9
I certainly don't consider you to be a valued member here, so it would be a total waste to even tell you that you are a f u c king moron, when you must have an idea of it already.
Go get your other software that you were talking about when you were crying about it being vaporware and how sucky it was anyway in general.
If I were the one running this board, you would have gotten your xxxx booted outta here a long time ago.
Go cry to someone who cares!
Dave is really a nice guy to keep you sorry A S S here......
I am trying to unroll a wireframe part so that it will lay flat so i can program to cut it out on the laser. (like a 2d part)
I have really not worked very much with the roll/unroll functions in mastercam and would apreciate any help someone could give me.
I placed the file on the ftp in the mc9 folder called stiffener2 .mc9
Thanks much
