  1. On the contrary. You can use G54 for all of your faces. Our machine repeats within .001". Anything that needs to be closer can be tweaked with your system variables and macro variables with the WC shift for each face and then cleared after that face's process is complete. Yes, it DOES work for multiple parts.
  2. I was afraid of that. Thank you for the confirmation.
  3. The same type of problem exists for creating drafting entities (note) and attaching them to the origin point. Even when saving the views to worksheets and layers, the entities still move to other WCS origin points for operations.
  4. Is there any way to export the Machine and Toolpath groups when you export operations? File attached ROLL TAP OPS.MCX-7

    FTP Link

User/password? Most of these request a user/passoword. What do we do?
  6. "X7 SPONTANEOUSLY CREATED 4 GROUPS: “MACHINE GROUP-11”, -111, -1112, & -11123 WITH GENERIC MILL DEFINITIONS." I wish I could get my X7 to do that.
  7. If you do it right, you only need 1 offset.
  8. Setup your post to output the Haas box M-codes. I really hate those Haas boxes.
  9. My task bar has been there since 1995. I have gotten used to it. Even on my 55" monitor.
  10. I agree with that. If you you have a brain dead IT department that set you up with ATI/AMD cards instead of Nvidia, then crashes and allllllllllllll sorts of goofy things are frequent. You can't tell the IT guy anything it seems. I have a brand new $5000 16 core pc with 2 ATI/AMD cards and 16gig ram that runs like crap. But, on my old Dual Core 2gig ram HP 20.1" Dragon Laptop with Nvidia, I have nearly no problems.
  11. I think you mean the ghost. Lock still posts but prevents editing.
  12. My preference is Cimco. They are top notch. Awesome support and products. Plus, their editor is great, too. I have used many softwares including Predator, spectrum, pc-dnc. I would rate Cimco and Predator at the top and PC-DNC at bottom. As for Spectrum, they are using it at my shop and have nothing but problems that the Tech support can't seem to iron out. And, their tech guys can be a bit abrasive to work with. But, where I work, everything is done the cheap way. If the could force their employees to drive Yugos to work everyday, they would.
  13. Not anymore. That no longer works. Maybe it's just a problem with mine. All I can do now is ADD.
  14. https://www.mscdirect.com/global/media/pdf/search/osg/osg_pipe_tape_dimensions_table_2.pdf Table #357 Or look up pipe tap porting tool specs. All the dimensions are what you need. http://www.formrelief.com/pdf/catalog%20iso%20revision%20website.pdf start at page 22
  15. It's good and bad. The place where you will see this as bad is when copying a drill op and pasting it to a tap op. It w ill not pick up the taps preset F+S unless you manually do it. Tapping should be made exempt from this locking option. Speaking of Copy/pastes. What happened to the geometry pasting options? Now you are forced add to existing geometry instead of being able to overwrite or replace. I don't like this at all.
