  1. What if one of the mi or mr triggers behavior in an operation? I have some that trigger tool inspection and parent child calls. I need the software to regenerate those operations and it drives me crazy when it doesn't and I then have to go back and do it myself. Are there things that shouldn't maybe, but seeing how at the first chance the software doesn't and someone gets and error or worse yet a crash of their machine then who will they feel when the software didn't make those operations dirty? You answered you own reasoning for it with your last sentence.
  2. Went back and re-looked at this 5 times and Mastercam goes about it the same exact way when doing an OPTI-Rough. Like others have said not on maintenance then not a problem. A simple Mastercam file will be good enough, yet after all the insults thrown at a tool I use to feed my family and keep a roof over heads along with be a racist against am being an American thinking you know me when you clearly don't still supports my thinking you are like 100's of people over the last almost 21 years using a pirated version of the software. I will be glad to share my over 5000 emails between me and CNC software over the last 15 years about thing I want done better in Mastercam so you can get off your high horse about how you think you are the only one that wants the software to be better. English lesson here. Definition of perfect from Websters: Defined in English In Tradition Chinese: Like I said originally your definition of perfect and my definition of perfect are at different ends of the spectrum. Doesn't crash the machine hurt the part and take into account a 100 different things it needs to make a good part then that is perfect. How much time if what you consider not perfect account for in a 40 hours roughing cycle where we are removing 7000lbs (15,400 kilos) of material from a part? That is the longest running roughing cycle I have ever run on one part. Before that same type of part was being roughed in 100 hours. If the not feed down to next move at 1200ipm was 1% of total time and didn't scrap the part or create a situation where I got a gouge or other thing that would have scrapped a $50,000 piece of Material than it did a perfect job in my book. Going by your definition of perfect the maybe 6-7 minutes of feed moves between transition coming up verses going down in an open space make it less than perfect then you have a very valid point. I considered it a lot less since the part had a lot of closed pockets in it. Lets have CNC Software not release another thing from the software until one user out of over 500,000 have decided this must be done. My hard earned money out of my personal pocket that pays their salary along with the over 400 different customers I have worked or work with also don't have any say and every resource must be dedicated to address the less that perfect situation you have yet to provide a Mastercam file showing must be addressed. Cannot fix and imaginary issue someone cannot prove with facts(Sample file). Sorry I am the a$$hole than many think I am here. You have have followed to the letter and method what 100's of pirates and trolls using the software illegally have followed for over the last 20 years, but you are!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have my website out there with my personal cell phone number. I have who I am and what I am out there also. I got no problem standing in the middle of a room full of people and saying no that is not right. That is all I am doing here is saying your approach and method to get an answer is not correct here and making me out to not like Asian's is just being more of an a$$hole than me.
  3. Axis sub will not machine a 5 axis feature. That is a 5 Axis feature the walls are not normal to the radius. Even Multi Axis Pocket will have issues with that to make the walls perfect. It would rough nicely, but that will need to be done on a 4 Axis with 4 Axis Swarf to finish the walls. You don't have Multi Axis so then will need to machine that in 3 operations.
  4. YEAH years of complaining finally paid off.
  5. Generic Post says it all to me. No File sorry not in the mood to play 100 guesses.
  6. Same with push pull and move in Model Prep if tool paths are made to a dumb solid.
  7. Glad you got the results you were looking for. Again not sure what good it does you if the company will never go past the version you have, but you are happy you got to get it off your chest so I guess there is that. Still have yet to see a file so sorry if I take what your saying with a bit of skepticism.
  8. Thank you for your deep dive into the last 52 years of my life by just a few exchanges of a thread where just a basic file with something to help you would have been a way to bridge the communication gap. A picture tells a 1000 words. Can teach a person to fish and feed them for life verses giving them the fish only feeds them for the day. Well you have missed out and glad i have plenty of friends in Asia that would disagree with your assessment. All the best and hopefully the issue that is stopping you from using the software to its fullest can be resolved, but the issue is you are not longer able to get update so even if it resolved in the future your company switched to a different software and that fix would never be realized to be used by your company so the whole topic helped in what way if the software is limited to not do it exactly as you have stated it must do it to be usable?
  9. Blocked on my end, but yes RTX series is a good choice.
  10. Fair point it is a product you support and your customers use.
  11. 4000 or better would be my choice. I just got a refurb with the RTX5000A card.
  12. What the Autodesk sales person started quoting us to keep being a partner and that has been many years. Either way I have what I need to get work done.
  13. Sorry all we have are these settings. I name the Machine Name or the Toolpath group and use them from time to time.
  14. No never used it and posted over 19,500 postings that helped not a single person in the last almost 21 years of being on this forum. Again post a file glad to help I guess you cant read that due to your poor English? I live in a tri-lingual house so really annoys me when someone try to use that as an excuse.
  15. Not a hater a business owner and to do business with CAMPlete in my line or work would bankrupt me in a heartbeat. 10 programmers 10 user licenses. 10 machines then each user has to pay per machine 100 machine license no way to float them between users. No floating network license anymore cost per machine plus per user account yeah that doesn't have highway robbery written all over it.
  16. You have now mentioned two different CAM Software's in this thread. That can be considered hostile intentions. In any culture if you run into crowded theater and yell fire with no fire happening people will be confused. You shouted fire with proof of fire. You have yet to provide proof of a fire. Where is your Legal Mastercam file to prove your not yelling fire when there is not fire. Your definition of fire (perfect) is the issue here. I have used this tool path at 3200 ipm feed rates on machines and never once had and issue with edge clipping when using the correct settings. I have to assume you understand acceleration and deceleration methods and process to know why certain things are done certain ways. What you consider perfect I consider a crash fest and will scrap a part without running the back feed rates much slower. By giving more room away from the part the issue are not a problem. Mastercam can hug a part with .001 on the back feed rate if that is so desired, but not in my opinion the perfect process. Put up a legal Mastercam file with something that allows someone to see you're a legal user of the software. Then we can have a more in depth conversation. Sorry but until we can shed some light on your true identification it is all just someone trying to promote different software on a Mastercam forum that is just a troll. I am person enough to show you exactly who I am. Are you that person enough to do the same? Without a legal Mastercam file none will understand your thoughts. It could be 1,000,000 lines of perfect English, but without a file it is just has no meaning no way to refute your thoughts. You have asked for them to be refuted, but have not provided the means to refute them. See, see, see, see we say to the blind man. Until we place his hand on the object we want him to see he cannot see it for himself. Your file is the way to let those of us blind to your inner thoughts see what you are seeing. Sorry not a mind reader no matter how many pictures and videos I see. I need to hold it in my hands to see it and the file it the way for me to hold it in my hands.
  17. Well then we have a PICNIC ("problem in chair, not in computer") issue not a Mastercam issue. Put up your sample file that you cannot achieve it. Don't think you can talk ignorant comments on Mastercam forum and get away with it. I am not called the Crazy^millman for no reason. I am the guy they call to teach SpaceX, AeroJet Rocketdyne, NASA, Air Force and many other companies doing advanced manufacturing. All that said means I no one special just your average guy trying to earn a living. You want help then post a file up and glad to help. Want to pick a fight then bring it on and lets see what Mastercam can and cannot do. I will be waiting for you to respond with a sample file. If not then go pound sand like Time Markoski used to say. Here is the Big Even I was part of. Big Event Here is an interview so you can put a name to the face. Cam Instructor Interview
  18. Use the type and transition settings correctly that have been in the software since around X5.
  19. Still in the Beta cycle so need to work it out. Might see it in the next Beta release for 3 axis. They are looking for testers so reach out to them and offer to test it.
  20. Make sure you have your active level showing. No issues here use it all the time.
  21. Best to move the geometry in 2024. It got tore up pretty bad to the point I am not taking any VLT programming from customers.
  22. This right here is what most managers don't get. Every part tells it own story and it up to us to figure out what that story is. Excellent problem solving skills and work on this one. Thank you for reporting back faster is not always better. The turtle can still win the race after all.
  23. No the tuning of the parameters needs to be done at the most common speeds and feeds to dial the machine in.
