  1. What's up Jay the Ntma getting a little boring and your running out of stuff to teach?
  2. Joe, Set cutter comp to wear that way you will get a G41 or G42. Also for work offsets you need to go into T/C planes in the tool parameters page, you will see work offsets check mark it and put in a whole number. This will add to your E1 offset for example E1+1=E2 E1+2=E3 and so on. -Rob
  3. Make the min drill size as big or bigger than the largest drill you want use. That way it will pick the proper pre drill for your tap. I usually just put in 1" and it works great.
  4. Use the advanced settings and choose the Pre-drill tab.
  5. I'm sorry I did not see your second post. Looks like you tried analyze edit. You should be able to just type in start and end angles. Also if you right click in the input fields you get options that will allow you to pick of the screen.
  6. Try this select analyze then select your arc entity on the main menu you can turn on edit. This will allow you to change start and end angles, radius, center point, or any attributes. It sounds like this is what you are looking for. Hope it helps. By the way with the edit on you can do this with any entity.
  7. Joel I will be out there around 9am tommorow I will give you a call somtime today after class. Also I want thank you guy's for helping Joel out,He's new and his boss just through a bunch of stuff at him. Thanks again!
  8. It will be a upgrade on MCU not sure of the price they have not set that yet, but I do know that the cost will not be huge. It is pretty cool though I think you will like it. Jay are you looking for a demo too? Anything it takes to keep you busy I'm sure Tom S. will appreciate it.
  9. John, MetaCut is comming out with some pretty cool features For tool breakage and tool wear. You will be able to graphical set up where you want to restart the program and it will put in all your header requirements, Also they are putting in DNC communications right out of the editor. I can give you a demo of it in class if you like.
  10. I only delt with the Instructor on Sat and I'll tell you from what I've seen he is awesome and I learned alot. Jay I have heard good things about the the north hollywood instructor too maybe I will check into taking his classes as well.
  11. Really what you know about the instructor in N. Hollywood. Is it as good as Ontario
  12. I've taken the ontario class many of times myself and highly recommend it.
  13. I forgot, this will from 8 am to 3:30 PM California time. Thanks for understanding after last time it was down. This is Jay by the way. I am using robs puter.
  14. Do you always have the same amount of stock around the part? What if you have more stock in X than Y? Then what your asking for won't work. It works in depth cuts because top of stock and depth amounts are consistant. I think the coolest thing to have would be Stock Recognition in Mill, that way you would never need to set top of stock and side passes would be taken care of. If you want to make a wish list that would be the thing to add.
  15. Just curious why don't you just type in 1.8025/3 in the spacing and let the system do the math. You can pretty much do any math equations you want when entering values in MasterCam. Just a thought.
  16. Importing ops from your library in the Ops Manager lets you bring in operations you like to use. Importing from the Job setup lets you bring in the entire job or portions of a similar job. The benifit of this allows you to bring in the same tools, matl, and stock. Nice for sister parts, Thats what its for.
