What kind of machine ?? sometimes machines have different settings for sending and recieving files you might want to make sure these settings are set the same Welcome to the Forum !!

I am using X3 MU1 and i am having trouble importing ops everytime i do it renumbers my tools how do i prevent this from happening it worked fine before i think i have just missed a setting somewhere ( i have already un checked assign tools seq on the file i am exporting from and importing too ) any suggestions would be great

i am trying to recreate the surface i need and it is basically a flat surface with a bunch of .08 slots trimmed out of it but the surface wont trim out right it cuts off big sections of the surface any suggestions would be great or if someone has time to take a look at it for me i would appreciate it

i did that and delete 4 of the 5 problems but the last surface is a huge one that i kinda need what would you suggest i do now?

then can i change it back to a solid or do i us the surfaces to machine the part?

I am using X3 and i am trying to do a waterline hsm cut on a solid and i am getting and error that says .....Bad trim surface found --use analyze test surfaces/check model to find others .... but when i go to analyze , test surfaces and solids, check models it tells me no errors found any help on how to fix this would be great

Sorry for what confusion it worked fine in X2 so i am not sure what there is to be confused about but it is a pain trying to keep your tool numbers straight and i dont like the idea of having to save and reload the file every time i use a new tool

When i change the tool number in the yellow boxes on the parameter page it changes the tool number in the operations manager but not on the tool list on the left side of the parameters page is there any way to fix this?

since installing X3 every once and a while i get a problem with selected goemetry not high lighting and the only way to fix it is to save and reopen the file i am using a Quadro FX 4600 video card is there a setting i should try changing ?? and ideas would be great

Mattstang70 i had the same problem with hitting esc twice to get the parameters box to come back up and i my system it was waiting for a point to be picked for sorting try going into your sorting menu and make sure none of the sorting buttons are high lighted ........... just a thought

I amd trying to machine a 3D contour with a 1/2 ball endmill and i cant figure out how to keep the radius tangent to the line i am cutting.

Some of those options in the FBM section look a little to complex for a 6 year old to understand just my 2 cents tho

in your control definition under the tool tab check your settings there

1/25.4 and multiply it by 250 comes out to 9.842
