X5 will open V9 i still keep V5 for that purpose but I needed V9 to open V7, I have thousands of files that we used to repair molds from -

V9 was a highly pirated version my hasp goes back to V7, I can run V9 on a older computer but only use it when i needed to convert some really old files -

don't understand , it's pennies in the long run, how many hours did you spend to get active reports compared to 5 minutes to set up X+ -

didn't mean to imply that it doesn't happen, just that it's not cause to condemn Mastercam completely

2021 i just did 50 different fillets changing radius while still blue, sometimes it wouldn't take the first selection of the line but haven't crashed, actually i haven't had any crashes with 2021 JMO

did you ever try it , because in my experience they do everything they can to deny it and get out of having to fix it.

we only have the one so just use a thumb drive, they do most of their own programming in mazatrol

IT won't allow our Mazak to be on the network because it's windows based, we got hit a couple years back, my computer was one of the ones it started on, the first thing it hit was my post .pst i noticed right away when i couldn't post a file and unplugged from the network luckily we were backed up off site and only lost one day but my computer was hosed from then on

and what are you basing this on? 3 people that you work with and two you know at another company

use to use it all the time when we would get digitized path and had to make changes but had no way to model reverse post and save backplot

we had a broaching head on the hyperquadrex we had that was sweet ($15,000) made a 10 minute broaching about 15 seconds but we sold the machine Mazak gave me a broaching program for for our integrex

we about doubled using the Helical Ti specific cutters and that's with a HAAS, if we had real machines watch out

https://www.helicaltool.com/products/titanium-6-flute-corner-radius-variable-pitch Helical just came out with some Ti specific end mills , work well. non-coated carbide usually works best
