Hi Guys
I just loaded 2018 and found that my F9 function key doesn't Show/Hide coordinate axes.
It does nothing as well as the alt F9.
Is it me?
Thanks
Hi Guys.
I need to unfuc..... and older program.
I drew a porting tool where my "XY and Z" zeros are at the c/l of the larger dia "not" the bottom of the cutter.
I get a "Problem with custom geometry data - line segment on Y axis." error so I modeled it and saved it as a STP file.
When I imported as the tool it looked good but moved it so the bottom of the tool is now at xyz0.0
Hopefully I made a little sense and someone in MC land can give me a bit of help.
I have all the offsets set from the bottom of the larger dia's on all my porting tools because that's the most important area.
Thanks
Most of the center drill tools drawn in Mastercam are drawn incorrectly so it shows oversize but will cut correctly.
I've been redrawing all the center drills that come with Mastercam correctly since version "X"
All "or" most of the drill lengths are wrong.
For now I'm just looking for good G code to see if I can shorten up what I want to do.
I spoke with our reseller and he giggled when I said right angle head but once I get a feel for it
I will have a post made.
Hi Guys,
We just purchased a right angle head.
if possible, could someone link or send a copy of a program as an example.
My plan is to drill, circle mill and thread mill or tap in the "X" axis.
Any help would be great.
Thanks
Hi Guys.
We just had 2 Haas VF4SS machines set up.
During cutter comp the operator was required to put in the full dia of the cutter for the part to come out correct.
There was a setting for this in the older Hass's but I don't see one
on the new ones.
The program is proven and has been run of our other Hass's for years at 1/2 dia for cutter comp.
Anyone have an answer on where that setting went off to?
The Applications guy where we bought the machines is on Holiday....
Thanks
If there are any Agie wire Gurus out there that could help?
We have an Agie 20p edm wire that rarely gets used.
There is a job here that we need to cut out the I.D. concentric to the O.D.
which are of different diameters.
I would like to cut the wire, rapid to approx. C/L, thread and do an automatic XY pickup and 0.0 preset
Any ideas and/or examples would be appreciated .
Thanks
John, worked awesome.
Was wondering if you ever saw output like this?
All seems to post good except for when it works on this angle.
Then it posts out as shown until the end of the tool. (Which is the longest of the program)

Hi guys.
I am modifying a program for a shorter cycle time.
it is in a indexing form not a full rotary. When I post I get a "ctable" alarm and need to say OK about 300 times.(not kidding).
When it does post out it only post the indexing in whole numbers. I am using about 8 rotation locations of which one of them is at A202.5
The post outputs A202 goes to a location ,outputs A203. posts the next line then outputs A202 and so on and so on.
Any help will be great
Thanks
