  1. Thanks Steve. How about the tool thing. New @ 10, 9 is still easier for now.
  2. Hi Guys. Is there a way in "X" do delete views no longer used. What I usually do is do an operation, when done and saved, coded and so on. I save to the next operation number I'm using, delete the operations and start from there, this way I still have a lot of tools that I may reuse in the same tool no. location as the last. Old views are no longer required. While I'm at it can you bring in multiple tools and delete multiple tools like in Ver 9?
  3. Hi Guys. In ver 9 There was a on/off switch for the autocursor, from what I can tell In "X" the only thing is a Enable, Disable buttons. If I disable all to get rid of the autocursor I have to enable all and then reset the ones I want. Is there away to just turn it on and off without changing any of the settings?
  4. I've noticed that my ESC key doesn't work the same in "X" as it doe's in Ver9. Anybody in MC -- X -- land know if I can configure it to work as a cancel button. I'm used to having one hand on the mouse, one on the spaceball and the other on the ESC key..
  5. Hi Guys. I'm still new at this wire stuff. I'm making 3 cut-outs in a area. I need to repeat the cuts in 56 equally spaced areas, so I connected the 3 cuts into one profile, turned on the subprogram option and also the incremental option. When I code out the program all looks good but it also codes out 56 subprograms that are identical instead of just 1. I did this in Ver9 so I opened up In X and coded with the generic wire post and it did the same thing 56 subs. Which leads me to believe I'm doing something stupid. Any ideas?
  6. Never mind I figured it out. 3 yrs with MC. Didn't have a clue it did this.
  7. Hi Guys I have about 22 holes in a pretty large part of 4 different sizes. I spot drilled the holes in 4 different operations. Question. Is there a way to have MC sort and drill the holes closest to the last hole and code out the correct Z depth.
  8. Hi Guys I've got a somewhat long file (36 tools) that I programmed for a vertical mill with rotary. now I'm moving it to a horizontal mall with full 4th. I have a lot different views I use. The question is, when I rotate part is there a way that the views go with it. So I can just rotate , then post?
  9. Thanks John. That explains why I can't find it. This new shop I'm at didn't install Design. Could someone Zip the title blocks and email them to me? It would save a lot of time rather then me making them.
  10. Hi Guys. I'm dimensioning a part for an operator to check the part with. I thought I saw someplace where I could import or c-hook in a generic blueprint I could place the dimensioned part in.
  11. b_daddy Correct. I want to rough out with the side. I don't mind finishing with tip but roughing will take way to long that way. Thanks Even with the Swarf toolpath I can't get it to use the side. I'll work on it.
  12. Hi Guys. Is there a multiaxis function in Mastercam the uses the side of the cutter to machine? Such a for spiral fins and such.
  13. Hi Guys. Is there any multiaxis machining that codes out a G41 / G42 code. I've got 3 rotary slots I need to mill with a tol. of +/-.00015
  14. Hi Guys I'm breaking down and starting to use "X" (Thanks to Steve) Is there a way I can config MC to always use the same offset and comp number as whatever tool I'm using? Thanks
  15. JG, I put the file on the FTP site in the solids folder. threept82-SPIRAL SOLID.MC9 Thanks Hi Pete. Steve is coming there this week I'll talk to him about it. Thanks
  16. McamNut. I can't seem to find any @ Mastercam.com
  17. Hi Guys. I need to mill out material on a part similar to a end mill or corkscrew that's in a full 4th axis rotary. I figured out how to make the model but I have no idea how to go about machining it. The help files are not much help. Is there any examples on the FTP site for multaxis machining? Thanks.
