  1. Hi Guys I just noticed this old thread. I just noticed that my threading output in wrong. I'm getting M24 G76X-1.8916Z.354K355D135E5906A29 and the machine needs this M24 G76X-1.8916Z.354K355D135E59055A29 the "E" requires 5 places with no decimal and I get 4. I tried a few things but to no avail. Anyone know why I'm stpid?
  2. Hi Guys. I was told that I could set up a couple of start up Master cam icons. I want one for mill and one for lathe. the properties looks like this now C:McamX2mastercam.exe and I want something like C:McamX2mastercam.exe /lathe or something to that effect. Anyone do anything like that?
  3. Hi Guys. Does the GDT chook work with X2? I cant seem to get it to.
  4. Thanks chris I'm going to see Steve from S4A tomorrow anyway and I'm going out there on Mon. If I go stupid somewhere down the road about it I will though. Thanks
  5. Thats the way it is here now. I just dont want the operators to be able to send it back wrong. Sounds like it will do what we want. Thanks
  6. Hi Guys. The place I'm at now uses Cimco Dnc to transfer files. I don't know anything about this Dnc system. One of the operators sent back a program from the machine using the incorrect file name so it overwrote an existing file. I'm use to Dnc systems that work on a dnc number that is in the header of the G-Code file and nothing else. Does or can Cimco be set up to be pulled in to machine using the dnc number and sent it back just by pressing the out or send button from the machine and Cimco automatically recognize the file by the dnc number in the header?
  7. Thanks T_MALENA That's what I did. Looks good.
  8. Hi Guys.. I have to thread mill a blunt start thread and I'm not sure on what it initials. I think I thread mill the o.d. like normal and then mill off the leading thread square to the minor dia. Doe's anyone in MC land have a example in nc code that I can look at. If I see the code I'll be able to figure out what I need to do. Thanks
  9. I sent everything to your email. Let me know if you got it. I'm sure what ever needs to be done you can take care of.
  10. Hi Pete. I sent over those files to Steve yesterday but he didn't get back. I'll send them to you. It seems the files were an update. Thanks.
  11. Hi Guys. New at using MC lathe. Every time I do anything in the operations area, all the operations become dirty and I have to regen the entire thing. Is this normal with the lathe package? I dont have that problem with Mill or Wire.
  12. Hi Guys (Lathe Guys mostly). Can you tell me why I'm stupid? I make sure all my tools have coolant on before I code out. Worked fine. Now when I code out instead of m8 it puts m9 at the top of the tool. When its through, it puts a m9. So its turing off the coolant that it turned off in the first place. I played a little with machine define but nothing with coolant. (I Thought) Any ideas?
  13. Hi. I cant get the debug to work for nothin.... It is always posting with just the code.
  14. Saves file in two differant places. More than once MC went stupid and locked up only to find when I open file again there is nothing there. The picture is but the file is empty. this way its saved in a second place. on my c drive not the server. Works good. I found a copy so I'm all set.
