I am trying to post an engraving program to my cnc fadal 4 axis, but once the program is on the machines the Axis just rotates too much for what it is supposed to do. Please help!! This is my first time programming engraving on this machine and previous programmers have gotten the machine to work the 4th axis. Here is the post program being produced thru mastercam 2017. I am using the MPMaster post downloaded from this site. Is the error in the post or the actual mastercam program? Or maybe its user error and I am missing something. please help!! % O0001 (399885 LETTERING2) G00 G17 G20 G40 G80 G90 G91 G28 Z0. Hi guys, i currently use two modified versions of mpmaster: no inverse (for general 3 axis work) inverse (for 4 axis work where i have xya axis moving simultaneously) better surface finish .... Question is can I get away with one version using a miscellaneous integer to switch between upm or inverse time? I'm thinking some sort of variable but not sure where to put it / call it out. TIA

I downloaded the mpaster X8 post processor. Updated post, control, and machine def to X9. Trying to use the post for a 4 axis HMC (B rotary axis). I make the Top plane the WCS, Front plane is the Tplane --- no B axis index (should be B0.0) when i post. However everything seems to be working fine when I change the Tplane to another plane. In this case I do get B index moves, which is what I want: WCS Top, with Tplane Right outputs B90.0 WCS Top, Tplane Back -- B180 WCS Top, Tplane Left -- B-90.0 Is there a way to get the post to output B0.0 ? thanks Bret

Hi all Mastercam post gurus, We have a mazak vtc milling with Mazatrol 640 M pc fusion control. Last 10 years we have been using Esprit for programming this machine. We have been using Mastercam X4 for programming other CNC milling machines. I am not very good on mastercam posts. I modified MPMASTER post for x4 for using on the mazak milling. I almost done except couple of problems. I need the tool change format as shown in red below in the sample program. ie M06 followed by tool number and next tool number. and the last tool change should be M06 followed by tool number and tool zero. I got the first step correct. But when I call the last tool it is always followed by first tool. Any one can give any guidance. Part of my post processer is given below the program Sample program (CHANGING TO Tool 15 VTC 1/2 INCH BSW TAP ) N84 M06 T15 T09 N85 G54 X-49.213 Y-85.244 N86 M03 S100 N87 M08 G43 H15 Z50.000 N88 G00 X-49.213 Y-85.244 N89 Z10.000 N90 G95 G99 G84 X-49.213 Y-85.244 Z-15.
