  1. Thought #1 are you running One Drive on this PC? Thought #2 Both of these errors are Adobe Acrobat errors It's pretty weird they should be popping up during a Mastercam session Do you have Acrobat open??
  2. We can't use "Fillet" because we don't know the radius.
  3. We did this in CATIA and got Ø3.0177 In SW I got Ø3.0176 In Mastercam I got 3 different results, none of which agreed with CATIA/SW I'm going to refer this Mastercam QC
  4. This is ridiculous. Solidworks gave me Ø3.0176 Doing it Bird's way in MC2024 I've done it 3 times and got 3 different answers In SolidWork Start a sketch, sketch a circle in space constrain it to the horizontal line with a tangent constraint constrain it to the point with a coincident constraint constrain it to the angled line with a tangent constraint I'm going to ask our Catia designer to solve this in Catia and see what he gets.
  5. Here you go This is a zipped Mastecam file the radius in 3.0176/2 solved Create_Arc_Sample.zip
  6. I got 3 point to work, toggling "Tangent" on and off as I selected the three entities, but I was not confident the result was good. Certainly not confident enough to use the resulting arc in an program
  7. post a file I'll run it through SolidWorks
  8. I sketched something similar to your screen shot and tried this. I couldn't come up with a satisfactory solution. This problem is 15 seconds work in a parametric modeling software like SolidWorks.
  9. Licensed Mastercam users can download a very good one from the Tech Exchange at Mastercam.com
  10. when saving the file from Mastercam select Save As then select file type X_T or X_B ( it doesn;t matter which) then select Options and chose 30 or 31 and click OK That file will open in SW2021
  11. True, We were looking at a monster Mitsui Seiki 5X trunnion machine (HU100-5XL) when I was referred to an Okuma MU100H by a couple of guys on this forum. The Mitsui Seiki was an 18-24 month build. The Okuma was on the show room floor in North Carolina. As our need was yesterday, that pretty much sealed the deal. It was a fortunate thing too, as the Okuma with it's OSP200 control and HSK125 spindle turned out to be a far better solution for the parts we are running on it.
  12. I moved to the Main forum where it will get more eyeballs. I have no experience with Mori/DMG mills though I've heard stories about reliability. We have a 2008 Mori NT6000 5X lathe and the service has been good, though the wait for an available service tech has been lengthy in some cases.
  13. Personally, I'm an Okuma guy. We bought an Okuma MU1000H in 2013 and have run it hard 24 hours a day 6 days a week for a decade. It has been such a good machine we bought a 2nd one in 2023. With a 170 station tool magazine and a 2 station pallet setup they are consistently the most productive machines in the plant. A 6 station pallet changer is available for these, but that would take up too much space for us. We struggled to find room for the 2nd machine. They build vertical trunnion machines as well from 4000mm tables to 8000mm. Okuma 5 axis machines
  14. That's perfectly normal LOL serious though, back in the day I was part owner of a small shop We had 2 Hass VF1's with 5C collet indexers.. We made boatloads of money with those 2 machines.
