can I convert my MC files to e-mailable files like JPEG?

you can do do screen to clip board.

Have your file on the screen and then do Screen ,Next Menu,to clip board.

 

this will give you and option to do a window around the part you want or just hit ESC and get the hole screen.

 

Now go to say windows pait and say past.

Hey Ron, before you got here I was the one with the worst typing.Really do a hunt back you will see. All the memebers used to dog me.

 

I have gotton better but some times just don't pay enough attention.

You can capture Mastercam session or any other windows screen image (except some Dos Applications )

using ALT+Print screen (it puts it in the buffer )

I set a keyboard shortcut for 'screen to clipboard' so I can use it with verify. I paste pictures of each toolpath into my setup sheets, so the operator can see exactly what each tool is going to do. Worth 1,000 words, y'know...

Look into a program called SnagIt also. Does screen captures and screen captures via video also. It's the Print Screen button on steriods

I would like to be able to save the 'verify' as a video. I would also like to be able to dynamically rotate an image and save that as video. Will SnagIt do that?

Yes....you can. You select a region to record and then it saves it as a AVI file. The file size gets pretty large with a large region.

 

Also look at Camtasia. More features but costs more.

Mark, it does all that and much more. It's like $40.00 for the proggy, but worth it's weight in gold. It has great command line support, (for automating your captures via scripts etc), and a com interface for the programmers.

SnagIt is an awsome tool. I use it for alot of things and you can make text bubbles and stuff...
