Will not Create curve, one edge

I have not seen this previously.

 

I am creating and edge curve and I cannot pick the edge of the model.

 

Has anyone else seen this before?

I had that problem monday on a surface, then I did it to a solid no problem. I could creat a edge on most edges, just seemed like 1 or to were giving me trouble, just assumed I had a problem with the surface so i re did it in a solid

It'a an imported model from SW, however SW is not it's native format, it was converted from something else, I don't know the original format.

I have.

I have to change the color of the curve or whatever entity that won't pick and then say pick only the color of it,so some how eliminate your selection to anything but it,Then it would pick it.

John, Is the arrow going nutz when you move to the edge of the surface? If so, try anylize/surface....it might be bad.....try to move the arrow "near" but not on the edge of the surface in question. This sometimes works for me.

No warning on import

 

No arrow, edge will not even highlight when the cursor is over it, nothing at all. It's like it's not even there.

 

The programs however have checked out.

Hi John,

 

Have you tried running RAM Saver? This utility will rebuild your display database. I have seen it fix several weird display problems in Mastercam. My guess is that its some issue with the geometry database/graphics card not auto-highlighting the surface edge. You might also try a fresh reboot on the whole computer.

 

I'm just taking a guess...

Yes, I get some really funky lines created in the problem areas. Lines that cannot be trimmed, extended in only 1 direction. I notice I get a lot of NURBS as well, maybe I just haven't paid enough attention in the past and always got them.
