X2 MR2 Having issues.

I am having issues with x2 mr2 that should not be happening.

 

1st When doing a dimension and I want to change the size of the note I usually strike the "H" key, instead now it is "T". Why would they change this. And "T" was used for TEXT. Why?

 

2nd My dimension settings that I never bother is changing for no apparent reason. undirectional to directional, the NOTE rotation is 90deg instead of 0deg.

 

Just curious if anyone else is having these problems?

You might try reading the "What's New" file

They are not the same as they once was and the Text shortcut key is not assigned, as well as others.

Are you using ordinate dimensions ?

 

I reported a bug where simply creating an ordinate dimension was goofing up the note rotation in the config...

All I can say about this Jeff is sounds very familiar.

 

I have heard we might get a key back for Text but height will stay T. I pushed very hard for this in Beta, but no luck.

Yes, we will be re-implementing a 'hotkey' for 'Text' in X3.

Between all the possible choices offered by the dimensioning and the AutoCursor, there aren't many letters left...

Could you change Horizontal to "Z", Height to "H", and Text to "T".

 

We've got to get H and T back for dimensioning. You have no idea how painful it is to try and dimension quickly.

I agree with Colin (above).

Also if you have an existing note and you move the note using Smart Dimension, Mastercam will change the color of the note to the system color automatically. This requires you to go back and change the color of the note back to what ever it was to begin with.

I think they ought to make the letters assignable.

Default to whatever you like or have now, but make them assignable so everybody can have his cake and eat it too. Actually that shouldn't be hard....
