Mastercam and Multitask Lathes

I cant say enough about Mastercam in the milling area, but I hava to say in the Multi task lathe area I am quite dissapointed, how are all of you finding things in the Multi task area?

Right now not as good as it is going to be when MMT is out.

We have two Mori Seiki MT4000's, one Mori Seiki MT253, one Mori Seiki NT4250, and an Okuma Multus B400W.

 

we get by with Mastercam's Mill Turn abilities, but it could be a lot better. See the thread I started about engraving on an OD. It is something that should be sorted, but you still have to "workaround".

 

MMT will make a big difference, that is for sure.

 

I've been a Mastercam user for about 18 years, and I really like it. I am REALLY looking forward to some of these new features that have been a long time coming.

MMT has nothing to do with having or using Solidworks.

 

MMT will be a module for Mastercam Lathe for syncing and simulating Multi tasking toolpath.

 

We have just started Alpha testing but it is looking very good.

I think it was originally due for release in March of 05.
