5X post issue

I'm running a 3+2 high speed core ruffing toolpath

on a hugely expensive piece of titanium.

The post is a modified X3 gen5X.

I have the tolerance page set to default settings

and I'm getting random K-.0001 in the code

with no coresponding Z so the control is alarming out.

Any ideas,

I'm thinking I need to tweak a torlerance setting,

but this is not the time and or part for experiments

This is 3X code on a 5X plane

Tom, it looks like it is throwing G18/G19 plane code (K value)in with the G17 plane arc. that would bother me more than the alarm. Not quite sure what would cause it tho. headscratch.gif Do you need XZ or YZ arcs? You can disable in control def... should get rid of the K.

Just thinking out loud..

I tried both my double rotary posts and got the same results.

I've been using this post for three years..

building it over with a new gen5x with every release.

This is the first time I've encountered this problem and its unique to one toolplane in the

file headscratch.gif
