Crashing in Verify just started

Does anyone know if microsoft added a patch or update that might be causing MC to crash in verify.

It just started to happen this week. I'm running vista 64 bit

AMD 9750 quad core

ATI Radeon HD 3200

Scott, are you running MU3?

 

If you are try opening up the stl tolerance in Verify.

 

I am running one right now at .048

It still Crashed. I even tried alittle larger and poof!!! screen is gone.

Are you verifying one operation or several ops. Sometimes it will crash with one op, but if I verify several ops together, it may work fine. Always a hit or miss with this verify utility.

Verify works a lot better using a solid .

but when you're working "in-process" you're relying on stl's from previous OPS.

Crashed when I was trying 1 op crashed when I tried all 15 ops. Crashed with a solid crashed without a solid. It will crash here it will crash there it will crash any where.

 

Sorry about that Dr Suess got stuck in my head.

What sort of error is being returned when it crashes?

 

I've been getting verify crashes since X3, and through X4. I've tried all the suggestions, and it still happens.

 

It happens with solids, or a STL file.

One of my classroom computers started crashing in Verify a few weeks ago. Upon investigation I remembered that I had deleted the config file several days before that as a quick way to reset things back to defaults. Deleting the config file removed the check mark from "disable hardware" box. This PC has a stock HD 3450 Dell/ATI Radeon video card that needs to have the "diable hardware" box checked. Its all good now.

Scott - It was my "Disable Hardware Accel."

 

Mick - look at you "Disable Hardware" in system config - Screen and its towards the upper left corner.
