I seen that some members want a real time chat,

here is a sorta solution for aol members (that would be a downside for non aol users) but I am pretty sure you can create a chat room and people could pop in and out as they wish.

I personally stay away from any AOL stuff this has done nothing but cause havoc over the years for me.

Same here, I also like the not real time communications this fourm provides. This gives me time to slowly peck out my responses, do spell checking, and think my responses through.

If aol didnt come free for a year with my computer I would not use it, its a scam and everywhere in your system once you put it in. I was only using it for an example.

I use the windows messenger. I think it is far better than anything that aol has come out with. It has some great features.

Use Trillian instead. It supports AOL, MSN, ICQ, Yahoo! and IRC chatting all at the same time.

There's an open cad/cam users chat on IRC. It's on the EfNet server and is called #cad_cam_users. I popped in once, there was only 4 others there, and only 1 willing to talk. I'm sure with a few more steady visitors it would be a valuable resource.

I hated ICQ. I would constantly get stuff about Porn sites so I dumped it. I could exclude users but new ones would pop up. Pain in the ARSE!

Then I'll show you how to msg somebody with someone elses UIN number. They reply it goes to the other UIN# not to you...back in the day AOL IM had this problem too. Oh, and you can do the same with email. Too funny to pull this on your friends.

I've been using Yahoo instant messanger lately, supports voice, webcam, you can invite anyone you want into chat, you can set up a private invite only room, whatever you want. Last chat session I had 7 users on alone with webcams, and a few more just typing in the room. Like a big free vidioconfrence! If there was file attachment here i'd post pictures but NOOOOOO....

Guys, we are in here so often that it almost amounts to real time anyways; I cannot count the times that I have responded to a thread and somebody like Andrew slips in there before me for another timely response. – usually within a minute of my response.

 

Realistically, I don't believe the Mastercam front to be a real time disposition - but hey, I have been wrong in the past and I will defiantly disturb many, many future analogies.

 

How many other forums could possibly have a user base that answers questions at 2:00AM? (answer = not too many.)

I have a spelling checker.

It came with my PC.

It plane lee marks four my revue
