Robin Williams' plan... (

I see a lot of people yelling for peace but I have not heard of a plan for peace. So, here's one plan:

1) The US will apologize to the world for our "interference" in their affairs, past & present. We will promise never to "interfere" again.

2) We will withdraw our troops from all over the world, starting with Germany, South Korea and the Philippines. They don't want us there. We would station troops at our borders. No more sneaking through holes in the fence.

3) All illegal aliens have 90 days to get their affairs together and leave. We'll give them a free trip home. After 90 days the remainder will be gathered up and deported immediately, regardless of who or where they are. France would welcome them.

4) All future visitors will be thoroughly checked and limited to 90-day visits unless given a special permit. No one from a terrorist nation would be allowed in. If you don't like it there, change it yourself, don't hide here. Asylum would not ever be available to anyone. We don't need any more cab drivers.

5) No "students" over age 21. The older ones are the bombers. If they don't attend classes, they get a "D" and it's back home, baby.

6) The US will make a strong effort to become self-sufficient energy wise. This will include developing non-polluting sources of energy but will require a temporary drilling of oil in the Alaskan wilderness. The caribou will have to cope for a while.

7) Offer Saudi Arabia and other oil producing countries $10 a barrel for their oil. If they don't like it, we go someplace else.

8) If there is a famine or other natural catastrophe in the world, we will not "interfere". They can pray to Allah or whomever, for seeds, rain, cement or whatever they need. Besides, most of what we give them gets lost" or is taken by their army. The people who need it most get very little, anyway.

9) Ship the UN Headquarters to an island some place. We don't need the spies and fair weather friends here.Besides, it would make a good homeless shelter or lockup for illegal aliens. 9b) Use the buildings as replacement for the twin towers.

10) All Americans must go to charm and beauty school. That way, no one can call us "Ugly Americans" any longer.

Now, ain't that a winner of a plan.

"The Statue of Liberty is no longer saying 'Give me your poor, your tired, your huddled masses.'

She's got a baseball bat and she's yelling, 'You want >a piece of me'?"

Here we go again...

1)Apologize for interfering with situations that directly affect my safty and the safty of my family? I think not!

2)Refer to "1)" above. Are those troops at the border gonna stop the bio/chem/nuke missles that come from places like Korea, the Mid East etc? And how bout submarines, how about the countries that harbor terrorists. You just wanna sit back and let them do their thing? That's what I thought.

3)I'm not sure where he's going with this one, but the borders should be closed. If you want in, you have to contact the gov't and request an entry permit. ($475.00 USD)

4)See "3) above. This kind of makes sense, but I wouldn't let them in in the first place.

5)You mean foreign students, right? I agree.

6)Great Idea! It will supplement the oil that we're going to take from those stupid countries that dare harbour terrorists. eek.gif

7)Word!!

8)As if we've ever gotten any help from other countries when we've been hit with dissasters, natural or otherwise.

9)Now we're talking!

10)Who gives a sh!t what others think. I'm in this for myself and my family and my country. Screw everyone else. (Yes, this may sound harsh, but given the situations in the last 15 or so years, I don't think I care what anyone else thinks)

'Rekd teh I like the baseball bat idea

Robin Williams is a comic genius, not a political genius. Most entertainers barely completed high school. Many actually did not. Few have a decent education or have developed a logical, critical mind. They are driven by mindless emotion, not logic.

I prefer to take my foreign policy advice from geopolitical geniuses like Condoleezza Rice, etc.

As for entertainers, I don't see how a talented singing voice or acting ability confers political genius on anyone.

I guess the excessive drugs, alcohol etc. these over-paid, whiny, spoil brats all seem to be associated is at least one plausible excuse for the drivel that spews from their stupid pie holes.

Maybe that's also why you have these high school drop outs calling Pres. Bush; a former F102 pilot (NOT an easy plane to fly!, Harvard MBA, etc., a dummy.

Not to be harsh, but I just want to say, "Shut up and sing you plastic ignoramus."

And you East Coast guys thought all us Californians were liberals!

Oh yes, and "Have a nice day!" cool.gif

Pres. Bush; a former F102 pilot

Is this the same George Bush that, in 1994, said he joined the Texas Air National Guard because "I was not prepared to shoot my eardrum out with a shotgun in order to get a deferment. Nor was I willing to go to Canada." Yes, that is a quote.

The same George Bush that asked for a transfer to Montgomery, Alabama so he could work on a Senate campaign, and then never reported for duty at his new post (Boston GLobe)? The same George Bush that was ordered to return to his Texas post in November of 1972, but whose annual performance report, six months later (May 2, 1973), noted he had "not been observed at this unit" for the past year?

Guys, don't be fooled by the 'Top Gun' flight jacket. George Bush fits on an aircraft carrier like Michael Dukakis fits in a tank. But I guess they didn't mention that on the news because, you know, the media has such a liberal bias.

By the way: If any one here knows of any evidence of a link between Iraq and 9/11, please let the CIA and British Intelligence know about it, because they still can't find one. The only governmental agency which has ever claimed a link is the White House. Many in US intelligence have gone so far as to ask the White House where they are getting their information from, because no one else has seen it.

And if there is not a link, then how do we justify the killing of more innocent civilians in Iraq (not including soldiers) than died in 9/11? Is it just that their lives don't count the same as American lives? In which case, should they really believe that we give a damn about liberating them?

Of course, we can't seem to find those darned WMDs, either. Those WMDs which were such an imminent threat that we couldn't even wait one more week for insepctions. Those WMDs which were kept at the ready, and could be deployed within 40 minutes, according to Colin Powell. Those WMDs which, amid the chaos and anarchy that is Iraq right now, are likely to be dissappearing into the hands of persons unknown. Assuming they were ever there at all.

I'm sorry to rain on people's parade, but victory is not validation. It's just winning. Unless some evidence comes forward to validate the grounds for going to war in the first place, we will have proven only that an unchallenged superpower is something for the rest of the world to be very afraid of. And I submit to you that that was the point all along.

It’s unfortunate that people like Robin Williams look at things the way they do. I thank God that blithering idiots like him don’t determine policy in this country. History shows us that peace only occurs after victory. I will never understand why the USA continues to be the bad guy, and these terrorist thug dictators that rule with fear get a pass. Sorry for being so blunt, but I’ve had enough. The funny thing is I don’t want them to shut up. The more of their rhetoric they spout off, the more people will see them for who they truly are.

I have to disagree. Bush actually flew that S-3 Viking for about 1/3 of the flight. He looked pretty much at home in his flight suit, and the troops sure love him. I don't think that kind of respect comes by accident.

As far as Iraqi civilian casualties, I would not be suprised if statistics proved that fewer Iraqi civilians were killed by US action during the liberation of Iraq than would have been murdered by Sadam to stay in power over the same period of time. This was one bad psycho dude that killed a lot of people every week.

The differences being, of course:

A) Our killings were true accidents

(In fact, we lost more soldiers in combat by having rules of engagement to protect civilians to the max. Those US, British, Australian, and other soldiers are total professionals. Unbelievable performance for such young people.)

B) Sadams killings were intentional, and calculated only to keep himself in power.

C) Sadam won't be around to murder ANOTHER MILLION Muslims over the NEXT 20 years.

Of course, maybe you missed all those smiling Iraqi civilians welcoming the troops? Or the joy of those children when released from prision because they didn't join the Bathe Youth Party?

The Iraqi's are smart, resourceful, decent people. We did what we had to do. We'll help them get on their feet, and then we'll leave.

I think you'll be suprised how fast they come out of poverty and into great prosperity now that Sadam is gone.

We did the right thing. Personally, I could give a rats pittutie if they ever find WMD, since I think the cause was completely justified to remove Sadam from power.

But I don't think that SOB tried so hard to deceive and thwart the weapons inspectors for nothing. If that's all you're hanging your hat on, rolleyes.gif I'd say you are in for a let down sooner than later.

I think any country that supports terrorism is an enemy. That said according to NPR radio had a recent news story stating that Saddam paid the families of suicide bombers $25,000 after the deed was done. They said this was in Israel, and I'm not sure if it was done anywhere else. I would not be surprised. However, if it is terrorism against any country we can not let it continue. Saddam supports terrorism and is therefore an enemy. This is enough for me to justify kicking him out of power. Whether any WMD are found doesn't change the fact he supports terrorism and it doesn't change the fact that he has killed thousands of innocent people during the years he was in power. Or that he tortured thousands of people. I think the leaders should have stressed the terrorism more than the WMD as the reason for his removal. I could go on all night, but I won't. I think we did what we had to do, and what we should have done a long time ago.

Just my opinion.

At least “W” wasn’t over in England smoking dope, draft dodging and bashing American foreign policy like the left’s poster boy Billary… -the head of “The most ethical administration ever”! What a bunch of crap! And all you have to do is sprinkle a few emotionally inflamatory key words like racism or genocide and the left bought everything Clinton did with a smile and a warm feeling inside. There was no attempt to go to congress, or unanimous U.N. approval, a formal declaration of war, or a clearly defined exit strategy in the two Balkan conflicts we were involved in. This fact was clear when the Sunni and Muslim "victims" suddenly became the rapists and murderers of Christians after they were bolstered by military force. This was in a fractured Soviet Union’s backyard. (The birthplace of two world wars) But where were the anti-Bush, I mean anti–war protestors then?! Here is the formula. Bombs with a (D) on them are justified while bombs with an ® on them are evil, capitalist, empirical instruments of death. Where were they when Clinton bombed Iraq to divert attention from "zipper gate"? (Mogadishu, Somalia, Sudan, Haiti etc. for that matter) It is so true that their anti-war stance seems to change as conspicuously and instantaneously as administrations do! And as far as some conservative media bias: if you think far from the left anything even centrist would seem conservative to you. In a recent New York Times interview of Eason Jordan, who heads up CNN, he stated that CNN has often “shaped” its news content to keep its Palestinian and Baghdad news offices open “in a region where journalists are often intimidated”. Essentially, CNN has become the official propaganda machine for iron fist dictators and murderers, the kind of particularly brutal sorts that could easily be categorized with the likes of Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Il, and Milosevic. And recently Newsweek classified Cheney’s remarks about American forces being greeted as liberators “the verbal blunder of the ages” and yet two days later in Baghdad that was exactly what happened. The truth is the sky is not falling, unless you were in Bahgdad, and if chemical suits and nerve agent atitdotes along with all the human rights violations cited above and N. Korea’s sudden willingness to talk and Syrias sudden co-operation aren’t enough to convince the left it was a victory then it starts to border on a mental illness issue! I wish them all luck electing a president on a platform riddled with hipocracy, higher taxes and socialistic philosophies. I pay an average of 30+ percent in taxes. That’s before sales tax, property tax, dividend tax, and inheritence tax someday. Hell people risked there lives protesting a 3 percent tax at the Boston Tea Party. It baffles me that people buy into this B.S. from the left.

I know this counrty has to concerned with the whole world but some time I think they need to concern themselves a little more on what happens in this country.
