Weird, I've never had a computer work flawlessly right out of the box.  I know it can and does happen though the chances are in your favor.

To each their own, if you have the budget then go for it, personally I'd never buy one on principal that they are blatantly over charging for every little thing.

We have 4 Boxx machines here now... and every one has worked flawlessly right out of the box.

I'm sure an expert like yourself could find things that needs tweaking.. but they work great as shipped.

For me,its simple math

I work a 55hr week at my day job.. leaving me a couple of hours in the evenings

and Saturday and Sunday afternoons for contracting... realistically 20 to 25 hrs a week max.

I don't have time to build computers though I too object on principle to the 40% markup

When it's all said and done its much more profitable to pay a pro to build my computer

and stick to what I do best... programming
