transfer geometry

how to transfer geometry from top plane to front plane , i have created geometry in top plane but i suppose to do this on front plane.

 

any suggestions.

Can seriously hose you if you're not careful, but dynamic xform is a quick and easy way to move geometry. I use it often enough it has a hotkey.

I use Xform >> Translate 3D. Easiest way in my experience.

Change Cplane to Right, then rotate geometry 90 degrees. Change Cplane back to Top when you're done.

i have confusion about construction mode says 2D or 3D. when we suppose to pick each option......

From Help...

 

3D / 2D construction: Toggles between 2D and 3D construction modes. In 2D mode, all geometry is created parallel to the current Cplane at the current system Z depth. In 3D mode, you can work freely in various Z depths, unconstrained by the current system Z depth and Cplane settings. In 3D mode, you use AutoCursor to select a position or otherwise specify the X, Y, and Z values for the entity.

Note: In 2D mode, you can override the current system Z depth by manually entering a Z depth value when specifying coordinates (XYZ).

hello 

 

i attached one drawing & i am trying to create the milling op for this:

 

first i made rings on milling according to drawing on top left.

 

now i  need to cut on milling 

 will cut in 8 pcs with cutter then going to cut .75 dia. round from each cut pc.

 

any help best way to execute this.
