O/T Bike Week

Just wondering if any other forum members are heading to Daytona this year.

My brother goes every year it is only 80 miles from Jacksonville. I have been then in an hour no problem. It gets crazy I have never been to bike week but to the Daytona twin 150 the turkey rod run and spring break for a few years but seen plenty of pictures of bike week crazy stuff that yeah even I find crazy.

Even this energetic character couldn't kick over the Victory with the belly full of frozen 20-40.

 

I got a north sloping driveway that doesn't thaw till the CORN comes up.

 

But Ya'll have fun, I'll be right here enjoying the EFING COLD!!!

Yup, freezing.

 

Now and then, I clomp out into the garage, and paw at the Victory with my Nanuk of the north chopper clad mitts. And emit soft whimpers that waft away and shatter against stuff in the clutter.

 

C'mon up ya'll warm land pals. You can jump straight out of the hot tub into 3 ft of snow. Now that beats the crap out of palm trees any day.

I wish I had a bike, I would go.....

 

Got my license when I was 14, but haven't had a bike for quite a while now. Was thinking of getting one though, Hrleys are getting cheap around here........

 

 

Saturday we had 6 inches of snow. By Monday, it was like it never happened.......

 

If you don't like Texas weather, stick around a couple days and it will change.

If you get a chance,check out Carl's Speed Shop.

They are right on 390 North Beach St.

These are the guys who built my motor.

Doug holds many speed records on the utah salt flats.

They are real good.

Back of the truck

Wish I could ride it there, but the wife's back would never take that kind of abuse (neither would mine on that bike--need a dresser). Been to Carl's Speed Shop a few times. Cool place that does some quality work. This is my 9th year for bike week. The whole thing just keep on getting bigger and bigger... One event we always check out is the motorcycle demolition derby. Man, what a blast.
