  1. I just chained the actual groove and used reference points to control entry & exit.

  3. This is a quick and dirty sample but how I do it. I usually put a good bit more effort into start/end points and the arc between but here is a 60sec sample: https://www.dropbox.com/s/zxgl3qck4vmqw7u/curve between rotations.mcam?dl=0

  4. Also only use Finish. You cannot rough a .155 slot with a .155 tool. You can cheat and call it a .154 tool and then leave .0002 on the walls and rough it. Your slot will then be .156, but it should come out that size anyway when you take a to size tool and cut a slot when grooving it almost never stays exactly that size.

  5. Wow this is exactly what I was trying to do!! I've been trying to decipher it for a few minutes now but I'm having a hard time seeing it, what exactly did you do to add that in? Thank you!

  6. What I have done is create stl, save, then import to level with model curves. Then move Stl and curves together so there is geometry to dynamically translate and snap to fixtures, etc. Although I read 2019 can select edges of pmesh now.

  7. Hi Guys I have open this up again because I'm trying to do the same thing that Roger was doing in this initial thread. The XML Tag "PROG-NUM" Does not produce a result. When I run the set-up sheet it continues to remain blank. I input the tag Correctly in the "Data Field". I have put in other XML tag with success but this one I can't seem to get it to work. Inputting the XML Tag "NCFILE-SHORT" recommended by "gms1" does not produce a result either. However his "Data Field" shown in his picture is actually "NCFILE/NCFILE-SHORT" and this outputs the NCI filename followed by .NC so my set-up sheet is reading "Fixture Plate OP40.nci.nc" So the question is How to Get the program number to output on the Set-up Sheet?
