  2. The capabilities you are looking for don't exist in Mastercam. Not to be able to do multiple geometry types (lines and arcs), arranged on a 3D curve. Get a copy of Rhino, with the Grasshopper Plug-In. This would allow you to create 3 Dimensional Parametric Geometry. Once you have your design, import it into Mastercam...

  3. Sorry, but it is a CAM software not a CAD software and for what you thinking you would need to build a parametric process that a lot of factors into account. It would be easier if you have a surface to pull normals from to help direct or help with directional changes you would be facing. I think it will be some work and take some time to accomplish the task I think you are after in Mastercam since it is extremely involved.

  4. This is where the error is. AFAIK depth of a hole is measured to where the center axis meets the surface by default, so it would be to the highest point. If they want something different they need to say that.

  5. Yes... I was afraid of the answer. I will try to make 2 parallel line paths (inner and outer segmented paths) using the ball centers that should help in determining the placement for at least the Z axis, and I will then try to fudge the angles for the other. This might get me close enough for what I need. Thanks for your help. I understand that CAM software not a CAD software but because Mastercam can do so much nowadays, I thought it was worth asking.

  6. I was going from memory, in my post above. There is no 'scase' string for 'diameter multiplier', so you will need to add some logic to manipulate the 'dia_mult' variable, when you are performing C-Axis Milling.

  7. Hello Daniel, I have been playing around with Mastercam Demo for a couple weeks. This is what I have been doing. And this one
