Hello... Is there any SolidWork users here, that also use QuickPress or QuickForm for Die Design? I seen a Demo on it. Looking for someone who uses this add-on in the real world of Die Design. I know this is the MCam Forum, But it seems that alot Mcam users also use SW Thanks again!

Hello All... Chip, Yes I have had 9 and X open at the same time, I will check later to see if, that's the case when I get a function lock. Murlin, I don't remember the message being that long, But MC_EXITFUNC does. I'll check it today and see what I get. *The work around* (change Initity level) When the dielog box comes up, and you uncheck.. use main level, Don't hit select, Type the number of level you want. Murlin I have heard that Sp1 is being releasted this week, This should help with Crashes. Also, I've had crashes using level manager also Mine has been.... Change Entity Level My work around... Then the dialog box comes up And you click off.. Use main Level... Don't hit the select botton, instead type the number level you want. If I hit Select I get Locked in the funtion then its ctrl-alt delete time.

I used Pro/e, Pro/mold & Pro/Man for 9 years and really like it, the learning curve is not as steep as it use to be since Wildfire hit the market, Pro had been losing a lot of market to SW till Wildfire came about, Wildfire has a 5 star rating..OK as for Pro/man and X ... I think Pro/Man is easier to use, But I grew-up on it. Mcam 9 I think is the best for what it does.. Cam.... But, for my money Pro's the way to go That's my .02 Stevieboy

Storkman Create point dynamic Seems to work for me when I need a end point to break to.

I like the new interface and design part of X. As far as bugs, it was to be expected because no amount of beta testing is going to substitute for real time users. (Quoted) I've used X everyday for the last 2 1/2 weeks 1. Create curve all surfaces.(A Bug) 2. Change entity level ( A Bug, but found a work around). These kinds of Issues are expected on a Major platform changes, MCam has made a step-up from being out-date. That's my .02 stevieboy

Hymen Sounds like the same problem we had, when we got a new computer. I change the card to a Nvidia GeForce 6600 Its fixed our problem.

RStuart The way it seems to work for me.. When I pick partial, I pick the chain then pick apply on every partial chain pick. To go back, I pick unslect Hope this helps, I'm not the expert here, but like I said it works for me.

Nevermine... I got it.... Solid to Solid to do a Boolean I only have surfaces... Can't split a solid off a surfaces? Ok so, I was able to get my exp.file translated to a parasolid file so, I can do the split in SE I think I should be able to do this in McamX?? Hi I have two Catia exp. files I need converted into two parasolid files. I put the files on the ftp site, Mcx folder named exp-solid Your help is Greatly Appreciated. Thanks again

Hi... I've had some problems translating my Mc9 or 10 Iges. files out to SolidEdge. The files were Catia exp. translated into Mcam, the part files seem Ok in Mcam, But can't get them into SolidEdge. One of the parts is in the FTP site, Mcx folder under SolidHelp.zip Normally what I do is bring a part into Mcam, and locate it on csys. or plans like I want it, repain surfs. if needed, then bring the part into SolidEdge, In SE I Create surfs then protrusions then boolean to get a cavity or core. (forming punch and forming section) I need to do this in McamX, I just need some guidance on the way to do this in X, the part is solidhelp.zip in the ftp site. Thanks for your Help.

Hello Johnny Went through the same pain.... What I had to do is this... Create>point>Create point Dynamic (creating points to break to) Then..Edit> Trim/Break>Trim/Break>Trim to Point and Break Buttons pressed in Move cursor over breaks you will see it snap.
