  1. You might have to turn your look ahead off, and don't extend the start or end of the contour in your lead in/out HTH
  2. ask your reseller for a making the switch CD and an X2 Demo install cd, which installs all of the documentation, including a V9.1 to X function map. between the documentation and the online help, you should be in good shape, but your reseller may offer classes as well. Those are always the best route.
  3. A call to the postblock Pwrtt should do this. do a "find" for pwrtt and make sure you have the postblock before you call it in pheader. You can modify the output by adding logic to the pwrtt postblock. HTH
  4. Draw a rectangle the size of your table top, and dras four rectangles for the extruded shape of your legs. First extrude the tabletop, then extrude the legs and select "add boss" instead of create body. Should take you about a minute.
  5. Del, Within your configuration you can set the data path to a:/ , but you really should do that in the editor,m after your nc file has already been created on the local drive. The best way to do this would be to switch from the current editor you're using to the previous one. For example, if you liked the X mr2 editor better because it remembered the last location you saved to and the new one doesn't, just go into the start exit tab within your mastercam system config and select the editor file used in that directory.
  6. Del, Drop me a copy of that file as well and I'll have a looksie. Thanks,
  7. Jeff, if you get the chance, You might take a minute and read through the reference guide's exerpt on WCS. It really breaks down the process. It's a few pages, but worth the read. HTH
  8. Metacut Utils has a feature to save toolpath data as geometry, but it does not work for rotary axes as of yet. It's a nice program.
  9. Del, You've got mail. Overwrite post file with new. Let me know if this is moving where it should. Thanks, and Have a great weekend.
  10. I know, I was kidding. Is it just these rapid moves that need changed? It seems like you're happy with it aside from those.
  11. I got all 12 e-mails:) Will drop you a cann when I get a better look at it.
  12. Del, Keep a lookout for a ringing phone. Thanks,
  13. Jeff, Drop me a copy of that z2g and I'll have a look. Thanks,
  14. Anytime, Steve. Hope all is well there at the "pro"
  15. Steve, If ya haven't got it yet, e-mail it over to me and I'll Have a look. Hope all is well. Thanks,
  16. Rakesh, minimum clicking: create line between midpoints of two parallel sides. Use midpoint of new line as centerpoint using boundig box is great for an unknown center point. +100 to CNC for adding the ability to chain entities to include and adding center point. It's saved me a lot of trouble countless times.
  17. Update: This problem would appear to be caused by the lack of control XP home users are given. Even when logged on as administrators Users and their programs are not given access to the registry. Manually registering the OCX files using the regserv32 run command has allowed Mastercam to open, but there is still an error given when color printing. Will update as knowledge progresses.
  18. Toolman, Are you wanting the tap cycle to be ignored completely by machine 2 or simply to be output as a standard tap cycle (as opposed to a rigid tap cycle)? If it's the latter I can certainly help. You would have to modify the post used by the 2nd machine def. As long as you're using two separate posts, you can change the tap cycle output pretty easily and the change will be seen whenever you switch machines. With this method, you wouldn't have to change anything in your toolpath in mastercam, just switch machines and voila, Rigid goes to standard. As Paul was saying, turning off the check box in the CD only disables the canned tap cycles, forcing longhand output. You could, if only using one machine set up two tap cycles as crazy millman mentioned above, in which case going from tapping to rigid tapping would involve only a change in the cycle type within drilling parameters. Either way, I'd be happy to help out. Just drop me a line. HTH
  19. Hao, Sounds like your microrouter's mint is not loading. You may want to check with Denford to see if they can give you a copy of the mint manager software so that you can reload the mint. Denford Tech support: Brad Carver (may not still be there, it's been two years) (330) 725-3497 He's in Ohio at the US denford loc. Back in my day with Denford, VR milling was not the greatest way to do it, but that's all Denford supports at the moment. Hope that helps.
  20. Jeff, You've got mail. Hope it helps.
  21. +100 James. Learned that one the hard way once. Once.
  22. Just so you know, sometimes previous version installs tend to overwrite the hasp drivers. No reason to be alarmed, but you might keep a copy of the latest hasp drivers around, JIC.
