    Yep. I seem to remember the same thing happening when installing X5, but I can't recall what I did to fix it.

    It works fine from within mastercam if you use the open/edit external...not sure why this happens.

    Is there a way to edit/carry over the settings inside the cimco editor? Whenever I update to a new version of mastercam, the settings inside the cimco editor alwats revert back to the default. Also, inside windows explorer, it seems that the default program to open files reverts back to notepad or wordpad. When I try to make the default program be the cimco.exe file, it seems like it doesn't stick and it doesn't show up in the other programs area when opening a file.

    Definitely threadmill. If you are using a tapered reamer beforehand, describe it as a tapered endmill with the proper dimensions in mastercam and works pretty well.

    Anyone here program sheet metal machines like cnc punches and lasers? What software do you use? What software is out there? Pros and cons on any that you know about?

    0-5 is G54-G59 not 0-6 6 is G54.1 P1 7 = G54.1 P2 8 = G54.1 P3 etc. etc.

    Pretty sure you can't undo it. You could look at the timestamps to determine if there is a certain time after which you last read some posts.

    I've used all of the above, and unless it's customer specific, I've had a lot of success with a centerdrill.

    It depends on the quantity that you get, but it's pry somewhere around $5-$6/pc. for a 50 pc. order. Check with your local supplier.

    Where is the burr forming? Can it be taken care in the machine?

    I match up to the criteria almost perfectly. Other than Okuma experience and the degree...which I'm in the middle of now, so moving while finishing the degree doesn't work for me. And I'm not really sure if I have any interest in the geographical location.
