  1. I understand all that you are saying...just trying to figure if there is a *set in stone* method that is used. I know in theory that using your best judgement every time you process a job is probably the best route to take. I'm just trying to understand if there are other ways for it to be done.
  2. What do you mean by stock amount? The amount of pieces or the size? What determines that you get 5 extra pieces?
  3. I'm interested in this thread. Zoob - Will this omit offsets that are unused within the mastercam file?
  4. We have one 31i control and we have not used the hpcc coding on it. It seems to handle the code without any problems.
  5. I know this is a very old thread, but it was the most recent I could find. I'm looking to be able to add block skip to entire toolpaths. Can this be done in X4MU3?
  6. In the machine group properties>tool settings>adjust feed on arc move.
  7. I've noticed this problem on laptops that don't have high end video cards, but never on a desktop system.
  8. I think that is part of the problem. He said he's selecting a *drill* for tool type. Is there a reason why *tap* isn't being chosen?
  9. Yeah, I usually just use endmill also.
  10. I've done that as well. You just have to be careful on how you get the part off the tape/table.
  11. What post are you using? I believe there is a setting in the mp_master post that retracts the z axis home before any indexing occurs.
  12. It looks as though the file must be some form of a .mcx file for the "open with X5" option to be there.
  13. I just opened mine and it is still set to the directory I changed it to.
  14. Yes, you just have to reassign all the paths for them though.
  15. When I go to edit operation defaults in my control def, the options are greyed out: But when I load the machine type, it comes out like this: How do I get the settings to what I want?
  16. Do you know exactly what was modified?
