On a more serious note.What if you were to put a timed relay in line with the buzzer that you could adjust to shut off after 5 or ten seconds. I do like the electro-shock idea though. Noel

If it aint broke dont fix it.Half of the reason I come here is to read the ot's lets face it after using the current version for a while most people haven't got that many mastercam questions anyway. Besides its a great way to get to know the people of the forum.Leave it the way it is. JM2C

I just came back from morning break to discover that my keyboard doesn't work any more.So I go grab a new one lift up the old one and discover it is full of water. I cant figure out how it got there as before I lifted the keyboard up my desk and everything around it were bone dry.Must be a sign from above. Noel

I use G84.1 for rigid taping on our fadels.Was that a typo or is there a g84.2 ? Noel

If I am not mistaken it will read the d as an h. the diameter values are taken as h in the geometry store so i usualy make the diameter offset for tool 1 h21 tool 2 h22 tool 3 h23 etc.I am also using a dahlih 1020 so it sounds like exactly what i am doing.You can use whatever h value you want i just find it easier to get the opperators in the habit of always having a diameter offset equal to 20 more than the tool #. I beleive if you leave a d value in the program it will look to the h value anyway. Hth Noel

Does anyone know what the max baud rate on the 6m is.I was told it would do 9600 but if I set cimco to 9600 it wont transfer. I was told that to get 9600 you have to change on of the 500 series parameters in the control(i cant remember off hand witch one) to 10. When I checked the parameter it was already set to 10. Noel

Corey We have 2 deckels with dialog 11 controls and 2 with dialog 3's. The 11 can be drip fed if that is the control that you are dealing with. I can check the pin configurations and dnc settings for you.Let me know. :cheers:Noel

Theres the old blueing ink on the handles, fill the drawers of the tool box with plastic peletts,Wire up some fire crackers to a micro switch detonator on the toilet seat(that one usualy gets them going).Super gluing the coffee mug to the desk etc etc.This should be a very informative thread. Noel

Trev I'm only 37 at present.I don't beleive in burning bridges.I would be willing to help my company with the transition by training a replacement and or programing part time.After 20 years I would definatly find it hard to go but sometimes you have to do what is best for yourself and your family.Thanks to you and all of the members for the advice and well wishes.
