  3. Just wondering what happens if you bring the file as a Solidworks file (.sldprt) directly into Mastercam.
  4. In your linking parameters of the high speed toolpath uncheck th box beside "Output feed move"
  5. Hi Rick, You can add more than one post to a machine defintion. In your Control Definition ( Settings - Machine Definition - Select the "edit the control defintion" icon on the top left corner), select Post Processors and then Select Add files. Select the posts and make sure there is a green check mark beside the post you selected when you save and exit the control defintion. Then in the operation manager, under Properties select Files, and select the Edit icon in the Files Tab. In the dialog box that opens up beside "post-processor" select the drop down and you will be able to select one or more posts. Then when you post out, that specific post will be used. Hope this helps. Call me tomorrow if needed.
  6. Try running a repair of the 2.0 NetFramework
  7. Right click on the file and select Properties. Uncheck the box beside Read-only
  8. In Settings - Configuration and on the left hand column select Files and the submenu Autosave/Backup. This is where you could setup your backup settings.
  9. I may be wrong, but I believe you would have to modify the holder.mcx file for one to see the correct holder appear in verify.
  10. Just out of curiosity, is the toolpath you are trying to regenerate a surface finish contour toolpath ?
  11. To convert the text into lines in Mastercam X2 go to Edit - Trim/Break - Break Drafting into Lines
  12. If you have Mastercam X you could update the post from Version 7. Then you could bring in the updated post from Mastercam X into Mastercam X2.
  13. You could set default parameters for your operations in the control definition. In MCX2 go to Settings - Control Definition Manager. Once the Control Defintion Manager dialog appears search for "Operation Defaults". You could change parameters in there, and "save as defaults" once done. Everytime you load a control definition your defaults will appear.
  14. Hi Rob, If running Mastercam from home and you were accessing the nethasp from work, all you need to do is uninstall Mastercam, that will do the trick. There is a nethasp license manager that needs to be uninstalled, only, and only if, your computer was the "server" computer where the licenses were being released from (i.e where the nethasp is plugged in).
  15. You could set default parameters for your operations in the control definition. In MCX2 go to Settings - Control Definition Manager. Once the Control Defintion Manager dialog appears search for "Operation Defaults". You could change paramters in there, and "save as defaults" once done. Everytime you load a control definition your defaults will appear.
  16. Try reinstalling or repair the .NET Framework 2.0
  17. Hi, Please send me your .MCX file to [email protected] and we will gladly take a look into the question. There are a couple of things to take into consideration when creating a tool. Snehal
  18. Try deleting all the files in the C:mcamx2-mr1commontemp directory. Make sure you do not delete the folder "temp" itself.
  19. I have seen this issue with Windows 2000, where the defaults do not stick. To fix this issue, in your control panel select the Mastercam X icon, and in the File open Dialog style select "Microsoft Windows Standard". Restart Mastercam
  20. Send a Zip2Go to [email protected] and we will take a look into the question. Snehal
  21. I tried it in X2 MR1 and it looks like it is fixed.
  22. Hi Smit, You are on the right track. What you have to do is go into the the Tool Manager, and make sure the new library is selected and then select the down arrow, so that the tool will be displayed in the bottom row under the new tool library. Then once you have selected the Green Check Mark you will get the message " Save Changes to your current library"
  23. Hi James, You want to change the operation defaults. Go to Settings - Control Definition. In the Control Topics select operation defaults. On the right side of the screen you will be able to change your defaults.
  24. Settings - Configuration under Topics select Toolpath Manager. In the column under NC file uncheck Prompt
  25. Curt, David is correct, you need to add the pfxout and pfyout to the spindle speed line in the ptlchg_com post block. If you are trying to output the x and y position on the tapping cycle line, set the force_dpts switch at the top of the post to yes$ or 1. If you still aren't getting the proper output, feel free to contact your reseller (In-house Solutions), and they will fix up your post to exactly what you need.
