  1. quote: I do have those, except for "fmt F 5 frplunge$". Should I necessarily have that? Is it something desireable to add to the post? The boss 10 post I updated had that frplunge in there for the drill cycles. I'm not sure if you need to add it or not. I do not actually use this post but it was on my MR0105 CD so I thought I would check it out for you to see if I could figure out your problems. I'm sure it would be okay for me to send it to you if you wanted to try it since it was right on the CD. About the G08 and G09. I see it in the post but I've never used that option so I don't know how it should look when it's working right. Could you post some code up here to show me how to try and make it look. I might have some more free time later to play with it.
  2. I updated the boss 10 post to X and it out puts the feed as you would like it With one number after the decimal with these setting in the post. code: # Format Statements - i=incr, n=nonmodal, l=leave ldg, t=leave trlg, d=delta # -------------------------------------------------------------------------- fs 5 3.1t code: fmt F 5 fr$ # Feedrate fmt F 5 frplunge$ HTH
  3. quote: What I can do is create two machine operations in the toolpath manager and put the vice ops in 1 machine def and the remander toolpaths in another machine def but give them all the same NC name and they will post together. If highlight all of the ops. Right click and edit common then change nc name to the same. Anytime you try posting even if you have just one op posted it will ask you if you want to post all. Just click yes and all ops will be posted.
  4. quote: So how can Top output put a G54 or G55 for different toolpaths?Try copying the view in the manager and give the copy the second offset.
  5. Perhaps I'm blind but in the code you posted I don't see any redundant numbers. Do you have another example of where this is occurring? Your prapidout looks pretty normal to me. It shouldn't be doing anything weird. The only way it would do redundant numbers is if you had it forcing out numbers like this code: prapidout #Output to NC, linear movement - rapid pcan1, pbld, n$, psgplane, pexct, psgcode, psccomp, pfxout, pfyout, pfzout, pscool, strcantext, e$
  6. Yes that is the right way to do it(preferred way anyway) WCS should always be top ( if your post is setup for a horizontal mill) And yes you need to create a new view. the easiest way i can think of is to create a rectangle at that angle then select the x axis first. then the Y axis line.
  7. If you put a .05 rad instead it will crash w/ a Drill #9 Error (or something like that) and 3 windows come up for you to send the info to Mastercam. How weird.
  8. Oh i forgot to mention. Yes there are things available to help you with the post. But those too must be acquired through you're reseller. But as I stated before any questions you may have you can always ask here first. (Just don't ask specifically for a post. That's a big no no around here.)
  9. I don't know if there is a post for that tpe of controller but if you were to contact a reseller I'm sure they could find out for you. As far as modifying the post. Yes I find it relatively easy for most things. If you want to get fancy and you have questions, the guys in this forum are all very good at helping you get things done. There is a MPmaster post free to down load from this site. you may want to take a look at that and judge for yourself what you think of the code. Any text editor should open the file be it notepad or word or PFE32. Whatever floats your boat really. HTH Slepy
  10. Thanks, Looks like I need to give someone a call.
  11. Hey Colin, (sorry for buttin' in) Is that the Moldplus converter for 9 or X? I haven't heard from our reseller if the one for X is available yet and I was just curious if he forgot about me.
  12. If you have solids option you can create the 2 stock pieces and then convert them to one stl. That would bring them both into verify.
  13. You may want to check out these guys. They are in St. Charles, MO. QTE CAD I'll be going to the 5- axis training in KC at the end of the month but they also have classes in St. Charles.
  14. quote: Bobcad vs Mastercam? That's like Ferrari vs FIAT! How about Fiat vs Ferrari vs F1
  15. I like it. Only think I'd change is to put a -1 on the z also, that will make a really good crash.
  16. Well at least it took him 7 months to work up the courage to do it.. edit: quote: Why don't you guys have a wicked_crash.pst that you could send to people that ask for posts in this kind of situation??I don't think any of us are really that mean. We'll just flame, and/or rib, them a little bit. And if they realize the error of their ways and come back we will still help them.
  17. Oh great the stickiness is spreading. Quick someone get some soap before someone else gets sticky.
  18. You could always just ghost the ops you don't want to post. Then you wouldn't have to select partial when posting and you wouldn't be prompted either. Incase you didn't know how to you just highlight the ops you don't wanna post and hit "P". This will also un-ghost those ops.
  19. quote: Transforming them to get them in postion is a choreIf you are using WCS you don't have to transform the STL... Yet another reason the WCS is great.
  20. Look at Teepee.mcx in the MCX folder on the FTP
  21. You'd be better off drawing that "teepee" at the end and doing a extrude add boss.
  22. I did it just like Jake had mentioned. I Pick the edges. It helps if you pick the corners where the veritcal walls meet first. Then the floors. If you have done the walls first then when you do the floors you only have to pick one edge and have the propagate along tangencys selected and the fillet will go all the way around the inside for you.
  23. Take a look at Slepys Fillets.mcx int the same folder. Is that what you're looking for? I guessed on the fillets where the boss is intersected be the walls. edit: John, and Murlin I think he was talking about filleting a solid, Not cutting the part.
  24. Chucks way works much better, and it's alot easier to do. I'd go that route.
  25. One way would be to remove all of the "n, " in you post except for the lines you want them on. or put omitseq : 0 before the lines you want the Ns to appear on and omitseq : 1 after those lines.
