Sharles, what is your step over?
I usually start setting the gap the same as my step over amount.
example: For a .005 step over I use a .005 gap.
works almost every time for me.

I sometimes use to hide solid construction line work, so another person / co-workers can't ruin a solid.
I also use Levels for this.......Because our designer couldn't find the Solid line work ........and mark the level "Caution Solid Construction Line Work".
