  1. Chris, Open up the MMD file under settings, and under the NC output under the control def and see if it is toggled on. Also there is another place that has to be toggled on too. Under the op manager properties, file on the bottom has to be toggles on.
  2. Morning, Sorry to the bad news. We had a cover go out on us when a part fell on it same thing here (i don't know it happen) we took it off and bended (hammered) it back in place but we did ordered a new one, but it did work until a new one came in now it's a back up now. Just think everyone loves a hammer!
  3. I program 5 motion masters, a royce and a dms. We have 8055 ***ors on them but we call out bs and cs for the 4th and 5th axis. Shot me an email and i will look at it but i can not promise anything.
  4. i have a Dell M6300 from the refurb counter works great, love it and half the $$ with all the bells and whistles too. i run solid works 2008 and x3 with out a problem.
  5. Hey Guys, Does anyone out there know how to change the add-on in Solidworks to open M/C X2 instead of X3? Thanks
  6. Ernie, The new note pad is awesome!!!
  7. WOW, It's Christmas in August!! Thanks Guys
  8. Down loading now!! 1 hours 9 minutes to go.......
  9. Doug, If you want it I have a pdf of information that is not included with the machine from Haas about 5ax haas trunions rob
  10. e-mail me what you are trying to and I can see if i can help ya out
  11. I have a vr-11 and i use Cutter comp but i have to turn it on under the misc. values buttton here some reading i got from haas about 5x cutter comp: G141 3D Cutter Compensation This feature performs 3D cutter diameter compensation. The program is going to look like this: G141 Xnnn Ynnn Znnn Dnnn Innn Jnnn Knnn Subsequent lines can be of the form: G01 Fnnn Xnnn Ynnn Znnn Innn Jnnn Knnn or: G00 Xnnn Ynnn Znnn Innn Jnnn Knnn The 3D +/- G141 cutter compensation is not just for 5-axes work. Some CAM systems are able to output the X, Y, and Z with values for I, J, K. The I, J, and K values tell the control the direction in which to apply the compensation at the machine. The I, J, and K specify the normal direction relative to the center of the tool to the contact point of the tool in the CAM system. The I, J, and K vectors are required by the control to be able to shift the tool path in the correct direction. The value of the compensation can be in a positive or negative direction. The offset amount entered in radius or diameter (Setting 40) for the tool will compensate the path by this amount even if the tool motions are 2 or 3 axes. Only G00 and G01 can use G141. D-code selects which offset to use. G93 feed command is required on each block. With a unit vector, the sum of I☻ J☻ K☻ must equal 1. (**☻-squared**) Only the end-point of the commanded block is compensated in the direction of I, J, and K. For this reason this compensation is recommended only for surface tool paths having a tight tolerance (small motion between blocks of code). For best results programming from tool center using a ball nose end mill. For example: T1 M06 G00 G90 G54 X0 Y0 Z0 A0 B0 G141 D01 X0.Y0. Z0. (RAPID POSIT WITH 5-AX C-COMP) M11 M13 G01 G93 X.01 Y.01 Z.01 I.1 J.2 K.9747 F3250. (FEED INV TIME) X.02 Y.03 Z.04 I.15 J.25 K.9566 F3400. X.02 Y.055 Z.064 I.2 J.3 K.9327 F3227. X2.345 Y.1234 Z-1.234 I.25 J.35 K.9028 F1580. (LAST MOTION) G94 F50. (CANCEL G93) M10 M12 G0 G90 G40 Z0 (RAPID TO ZERO, CANCEL 3 AXIS C COMP) X0 Y0 M30 Note: G141 is a group 7 G code, G40 cancels G141, G91 is not compatible with G141, and G141 uses a D code same way that the G41 and G42 does. hope it helps
  12. Racerx I just got done making some two dies that are 64.0 x 36.0 x 12.8 deep with a .750 corner radius, I was using Ingersoll 1.0 diam head with a .950 carbide shaft that was grinded down from 1.0 and three adapters to give me the length. they worked great!!! When westtec was in town i went up there to see what the cutting guys had nobody would touch me except Ingersoll and Sandvik. I talked to Sandvik they did not have anything that small but they do make a good product with the captos. I went with Ingersoll cuz of the size. to give you a head ups both are $$$. hope it helps
  13. Kelly, Can you drop it my way to can't get on the ftp site. [email protected] Many Thanks Rob
  14. Hello guys and gals, I need some help with the c-hook sectioning. I used to use it alot in V9 but I did not have to use it for a while and now in X2 mr2. If i remember right i post the toolpath saving it as a nci, then start up the section c-hook tell it wat size of file i want and it does it right? My problem is in the nci folder it says the i have 2 files which is about right, i go import the nci toolpath then post them the weird thing i'm getting the same program for both. Am i doing something wrong? Thanks have a great weekend!!!
  15. You know, I'm not going to say that i'm an "expert" on something i don't know to much about, but you would think that if i'm running 2 cpus running MC on one and SW on the other with 4 gigs i should be able to run what ever i want cuz i'm not using all the program at once they are sitting on the bottom hidden and inactive. I know they are drawing some ram but not much and if they were i could it by programs that i'm running would be slower which they are not. All I'm asking is for a simple reason why? is it my system needs improvement going to a 64 bit with more ram or what?
  16. this is what i'm using AMD opteron Processor 250. mmx 3dnow (2 cpus) 4 gig of ram and NVIDIA Quadro fx 1400 graphics card. I maybe wrong, but I think what i have should handle the programs with out a problem.
  17. Morning Everyone, Quick question for the solidworks and mastercam guys. Why can't i open three M/C's while i have solidworks open? If i don't have Sw open i can open three or four M/C at a time with out a problem. But if i have Sworks open i can only open two at a time I tried to use the mastercam direct that i know it works and it crashed everytime but if i close the second M/C that i have open it works. Anybody else have this problem? Thanks
  18. Don't want to sound like a smart-a$$ but why don't you just scale at .03937. that's how i do it instead of letting M/C do the math never had a problem with doing it that way.
  19. Thanks Thad, have a great weekend and don't forget Mother's Day!!!!
  20. Morning All, I had a brain fart this morning and save a tool twice in my custom library. How do I delete the extra tool? I tried to just deleting it by highlighting the tool with no results. Thanks and have a great weekend!!!
  21. Morning All, I am having a problem with this toolpath. For some odd reason I'm getting this error and no toolpath but it will take about 30 to 35 mins. to calulate the path but comes up like it's ready to backplot then i go to check it out I get this error http://i276.photobucket.com/albums/kk35/RO...07/FLOWLINE.jpg Any ideas and help? Thanks
