Thanks alot Crazy Millman for the info. You can say i really never used them either. I thinking i might be missing something that can make my job easier.
I quick question for the 5-axis guys. I had been programming 5 axis for about 3 to 4 years now, and I never used these c-hooks that Mastercam has for 5 axis. Can some one explain to me what they do and some what how to use them. The c-hooks are focus 5 axis toolpath, floor 5 axis toolpath, contain 5 chook toolpath and 5ax msurf. What I use mostly when I program is swarf drill and curve.
Thanks alot
Rob
X2 MR1 SP1
The only time I have trouble, is when I open one while I'm verifing a part. The one running verify will crash. But usally I will open two or three at a time with no problems.
Hello,
Is there an easier way to compare two model in M/C X2? I have a model in air cords. and the other in a regular cord. I need to move one model to over lap the other one. The one in aircraft cord. is angled and I tried to move the model and adjust the angle but it is a pain in the rump. and I can never get it right on the money. Any help out there?
Thanks
Hello,
I'm looking into purchasing some verification software. Is there any out there that verify 5x toolpaths? My boss does not vericut but some thing else. Thanks for the help.
In X2, X press delete button a window opens up pick the level to delete in v9 press delete button on the left press all then a level window opens to choose what level you want to delete.
It sound like you are doing it right. What I do, I create geometry (two lines) and pick the "X" axis first and "Y" axis second. If you choose it that way you don't have to flip the arrows it will dead nuts. The lines I created I save them on a different level with other wcs lines. The way I keep track is that I mark the lines with notes and colors. Now you have to remember that everyone is different and what is good for me may not be good for you or others. I never had a problem drilled cycles that i noticed yet. Also what does it look like in verify?
After you pick the geo or copy the wcs make sure to click the "=" button to make sure that the wcs changed the c plane and the t plane. Also make sure to turn on the update graphics view
when wcs changing. You may want to go in a little more detail on how you created your wcs too.
Thanks for asking this question, I was about to ask one like it except for how do I delete the tools that i created in the tool library. Because i have the same tool that i created 3x and all i need is 1 of them.
On some machines you will need to lead in on the part to turn the cutter comp on. Lead off the part to turn the cutter comp off. The lead ins and lead outs lines will have your G41, G42, and G40 in them.
Ducati,
I still go back around deer season and get a buck or two. This year I could not make it, because the whole family are going to Talladega in April. So I've to wait until then.
