  1. i some times use an insert drill as a boring bar to remove excess material from a bore so i do not have to add a rough id bar and free up one turret station. my question is that verify does not show the drill cutting a bore on the x offset but shows a slot and my fin bar crashes, even though the material has already been theoritically removed.
  2. the C axis only moves in the backplot it does not move in the verify prolly fixed in X3 it will index point to point in the verify though
  3. if i remember correctly the spindle starts up at the g84.1. the reason mc is outputting a m5 is that the control needs to see the spindle stopped. run the program above the part and see if the machine starts up the spindle at the g84.1 i do believe your m90 s255.2 needs to be in the line just above the g84.1. it's been a long time since i worked on a fadal
  4. Question for the forum, Every one is saying how great X and X2 is. How come whenever some one has a question of a problem they are having with the software one of the first answer they get is to reinstall the software or MD etc. The answer from the reseller for any problems is it is being fixed in X3. I use it every day and every once in a while it has a mind of it,s own and locks up and i lose all my work done from the last save.
  5. WCS in Lathe! I want to be able to start a part in mill, then orient my toolplane in Lathe without moving or copying geometry. I think this could also eliminate "stock flip". I want to be able to keep it down to one solid - one file. you should be able to do that with just rotating your wcs and setting a new origin. you don't have to copy geometry. use the same wcs procedure from the mill. i do it all the time. i work with different assemblies and i leave the solid where they come in at. i just translate the views to get them to lie in the C & T plane. this way when a rev change comes in with a new solid comparison between old and new solid becomes a breeze
  6. make the view numbers visible again in the wcs view manager
  7. control comp here, so if we do not have the programmed insert radius we do not have to reprogram, operator changes insert and tnr at the machine and every thing is ok. also makes it easier to trouble shoot and read the the program because MC posts the actual part dimensions out with control comp
  8. use the mask on arcs in the drill menu pick the arc you want set the tolerance and window the arcs. the z depths are all incremental at that point- don't know if this is what yo guys mean
  9. using g71 to rough od or id the u value for stock finishing always have to be positive. the controller compensates by the direction the x axis is cutting i.e dia gets smaller or bigger.
  10. why don't you guys edit the post so the coolant comes on and not have to worry about messing around with the settings in MC
  11. i had the same problem yesterday after i added dimensions to my geometry. i the file size did not change but i lost all geometry, tool paths and solids. mastercam would not even recognise my file as a mcx file any more even though the file extension did not change
  12. miscellaneous integra #10 change the # every time the software sees a different # it will force a tool change
