Hello all, Has anyone had this happen? I was in and out of this file all day yesterday with no problems came in today open it up and got this message... Thanx for the advice, and yeah i've done that restarted but still could be dangerous if missed... and it very well could be windows screwing with MC, or it could be MC itself.. While new great feature of machine it wonderful and exciting I think reliability is more important...

I had a contour operation cutting a single line absolute z0 depth of cut absolute z-.250 with a rgh end mill copy it down to put a finish end mill in and my absolute change to increment ... this has happen before a few time but not every time... I'm little concern about the reliability of the software... this has never happen in any previous ver. of the software... Has anyone else seen this ? Thanx in advacnce for replies Ron

Not sure what ver. MC your run but... in 2019 There is a place to load in txt file.. would show you a picture of it but for some odd reason can't upload it.. keep giving me an error sorry about that but it is there under create letters

You could save wordpad file to txt file and load that into MC, or you could copy and paste from wordpad ? hth Ron

I can understand that, I guess.. but never used verisurf in this file I used to create bounty box to find min. stock size, and workshifts but since 2019 , really haven't used it all that much.. Thanks for the thought... I still contact Ernie and get his thoughts Ron

Well just for giggles, I uninstalled verisurf tool, rebooted computer,started mastercam then open file, I'm still getting error message ... other files that I've done in the past week no problems... I'm so confused ... lol Also give the file to another programmer here, who never installed verisurf tool and he got same error message so I'm leaning towards a mastercam thing, I'm sure it something I've done.. just would like to know what... So as not to do it again.. thanks for all your help and support Ron

No not that I'm aware of, I am hopping that one day one of these geniuses around here could make a c-hook or a VB to take any true-type font , and create a C/L geometry to run and end on... but if you find a better way pls. let me know too.. hth Ron

Thanks Colin, By the way that what I did to find what angle the "B" and "C" axis was for a job was to post it I kind of get what your saying about Kinematic data and being able to post to multi machines but we create the wcs, and or plane, you think we should be able to see what angle we typed into the wcs, and or plane... just saying lol

Is there a way to shrink or grow a boss on model with out change it location in mold prep? I had a model created a reverse image of it to create a fixture and wanted to reduce bosses inward to create a clearance for the part to fit on, couldn't figure how other then, removing bosses and recreating them to size... Now I could make said boss taller, shorter, move them copy them but couldn't shrink them.. (as offset chain).. As always any help is appreciated Ron

I keep getting the word ERROR added to high speed operation during downloading to machine Heidenhain 530 control Mikron 800 3x example : post from mastercam 2019, code looks fine download it into machine and it adds ERROR = to the coded file can't figure why this is happening try changing a few min arc fields and have gotten by on a few programs but then that didn't work for next job.. anybody else run into this? if so how to stop it..? never had this issue in mx6... so I'm wondering is it a setting in 2019 or the machine? thanks in advance for any help Ron

This has happen to me also, but only once.. Where mine differs though is I lost all my saved data up to that point, so my file went back to the first time I saved it, witch was file right after opening up model.. we are having network problem also, so wasn't sure what to think about this.. I would be interested in knowing if they ever resolve this , that for sure p.s. really don't understand the decision of the color pallet anyways, at least older version you had a check box if you wanted to always use large color pallet... to me this was a step backwards

okay X and X2 those version are older than mcx-6 right? so I should be able to open my mcx-6 file in 2018 correct?
